    Best metering powders for pistol

I am sorry I don't load any of the calibers you mention, but for what it is worth I love WST for .45 ACP. It meters great, burns extremely clean, and has good volume (fills the case well). A great powder for lighter loads.

CBC Brass seems very stiff when sizing?

I have taken to tossing out CBC .45 brass for the reason the OP stated. I think PMC is fine.

Sold pending funds to gasaman. I have for sale one Hogue Extreme Series S&W Long Extended Cylinder Release in stainless steel, Hogue Part No. 00686. It is in like new condition in the original packaging. I set my 625up for USPSA Open Revolver Division, but after one embarrassment I decided I...

Clark Custom STC Barrel on Model 41

I did have to send my gun to Clark with the new barrel to have my extractor adjusted (it would not extract unfired rounds, but worked great otherwise) but I don't hold that against them. They picked up the return shipping.

Clark Custom STC Barrel on Model 41

I thought I would just give a shout out to Clark Custom Guns for their fabulous STC barrels. I put one on my 41 and I love it. The best part is having nothing above the slide - it makes operation, inspection and cleaning so much easier. I currently have it sighted in @ 20 feet for pintops...

    SW1911 after 500 rounds= Frustration - Solved?

My impression is exactly the opposite, and I always assumed it is because the slide on a 1911 "absorbs" some of the recoil as it moves rearward, while 100% of the recoil impulse of a revolver goes directly into the frame. To me the recoil impulse I feel in my 625 is noticeably stronger than...

    Mahovskys Metalife recent turnaround times?

I just had some small parts done (a Ruger LCP slide and barrel and a Springfield XDm 5.25" barrel) and it was about 3 weeks, I think, maybe less.

Need advise on S&W .22LR Revolver

I don't think he can go wrong with a 10 shot 617. Very accurate gun and the 10 shot means fewer reloads. I recommend the 4" over the 6" due to better balance.

Which after market finish is best?

I recently had a STI frame done in "Atranite" by Freedom Gun Works, and I am very pleased with the result. This is their brand name for a melonite-like finish, but it seems like a deeper, more even black.

    Open 625 Revo

I shoot the 625 in USPSA just for fun and something different. I have a 26 round open gun and also shoot Limited-10. Shooting steel with the 625 with 5 or 6 targets per string, you do need to take your time and make every shot count.

    Open 625 Revo

I had a C-More on the Allchin mount on my 617, I replaced it with a DeltaPoint, which looks a lot better on the smaller gun (better proportioned).

    Open 625 Revo

Here is my 625 Open gun. Fully Carmonized & Magnaported, with a Leupold DeltPoint red dot on an Allchin mount. I prefer the DeltaPoint over a C-More (although granted it cost almost twice as much). My theory is it sits closer to where the rear iron sight was, and the dot is slightly closer to...

    625 .45ACP

In the last month I have bought two 5" 625-8s. I paid $675 for one and $650 for the other. I don't care about the lock because both of them got Carmonized, and the locks are deactivated for the bobbed hammer action job.
