    908 & 910 slide interchangeability?

Can this be used safely? Would just be for fun at the range. They both both appear to function with just snap-caps. I was cleaning both and accidentally started to put the 908 slide onto the 910 frame. Anyone tried this before with these two pistols? Here they are switched:

    S&W 908/910 Prices?

I recently bought a new 910... last one the dealer had in stock. I paid $500. Mind you I live in CA so, prices I have noticed are generally $100 more than what I have seen in other states when looking online. Hope that helps.

The model number is etched below the slide stop. It is a 659. A nice looking one too.

Just got a digital camera, so here it is (I used a pic I found on the web previously). And a 1006 I picked up a while back.

    4040PD question

Just read it BM1. Thanks a lot. I did buy it and should receive it in a month. I might just get a set of new Hogues eventually. There was one thing I forgot to gloss over- does this pistol use tritium sights or the standard sights on the 908, 457 etc.? I plan on getting Trijicon night sights...

Haha... I was gonna take a look at it today. Thanks for the heads up Denver. I have never had rust on any of my guns, can it not be buffed out somehow?

    4040PD question

Thanks for the info guys. I spied a used one that appears to be carried a lot- cobble stone pattern on the Houges is worn pretty good(no big deal). I checked the barrel and internals and it is clean. No box and only one mag I was told off hand. Dealer is asking the typical CA price of 450. I...

    4040PD question

Did this pistol come standard with Houge rubber grips? Also are there any other S&W pistols that share the same mag? I don't see the mags listed on S&W's website.

Check out calguns.net's marketplace section. Its where I got the 1006. I pick it up this upcoming Tuesday. The seller was very cool guy- he through in 550 rounds of 10mm fmj. Finally found a 59 series yay! Brand new 910... also put a brand new 410 on layaway

    Anyone carry a 3904? (39? 439?)

Of all my pistols my 908 and 39-2 give me the most enjoyment by far. I find it funny that I have a Bianchi Black Widow holster that is fitted for the 45/10 series that also fits the 908 relatively well The nickel finish on the 39-2 is too nice- its just a casual range gun. I would love a 909...

    908 and 910 series

Yeah I really like my 908 too. I would like to get a 59 series full-size, but since I am in CA there seems to be no point in owning a hi-cap pistol when the 908 holds 9+1 as opposed to a 10+1 mandated in my state.

    Nickel 39-2

I have an '81 nickel 39-2. It was LNIB purchase and came with two S&W marked blue 8 rnd mags. The finish description on the box says nickel. Hope I could help.

    How good is M&P series?

I recently tried out an M&P 9. Was very pleasant to shoot, which I attribute to it's low bore axis. My personal favorite polymer, striker fired pistol is a Steyr M40a1 however.

Welcome aboard I stumbled upon a LNIB nickel 39-2 a while back at a shop. I thought "what is this shiny old school looking thing?" For some reason I bought it on a whim. The rest is history. 908, 4566, 457 soon followed Been trying to find a 2nd or 3rd gen 59 series to no avail lately.
