    Charter Arms advice

Your problem is likely the interface between the trigger nose and how/where it meets the cylinder stop. You might consider a new cylinder stop first.

.21 Sharp - new kid in town

As noted above and in articles, restrictions on lead projectiles was one of the driving forces behind the 21 Sharp project. I cruised through this thread earlier and whilst running errands had a thought about needing new barrels to convert to 21 Sharp. Wouldn't be drop in but close. The vast...

    How Low Can I Go?

One thing to consider: bullet dwell time in the barrel. Once upon a time someone gifted me 2 boxes of then new .45 Winchester 200 gr LSWC match ammo. Accuracy sucked. This puzzled me greatly as my handloads with a similar bullet grouped much better. So, I pulled a few bullets, dumped in my...

#1 and the film cannister. But they make such great storage for small parts. Especially the see throughs. Wonder if anyone will be bright enough to market them as such?

    Rusty magazine

Depending upon how bad the rust is, red Scotchbright should take the stuff off. It's expensive, but the very best cold blue I've found is Brownells Dicropan IM. It's a commercial steel blackening chemical made for industrial use. The T4 isn't bad either and is cheaper.

    Fitting a yoke?

OK, since the yoke retaining screws are different for the U groove yoke and the V groove yoke, swapping one for the other isn't a good idea. The screw with the spring loaded plunger is larger. Not saying it can't be done, it's just not going to be plug and play and it's gonna cost. You'd have to...

The mire gets deeper for Boeing

If anyone can find a copy of "The Man Who Rode the Thunder", you can find out what a really bad flight-short of death-can be like.

    J-Frame hammer bob reliability

There's one major downside to removing the hammer spur that doesn't get mentioned. Revolvers do malfunction. The immediate action drill for a slew of malfunctions that involve the trigger not being able to move is to reach up and cock the hammer. Once I reduce the "to do" list to manageable...

    Question

OK, Beancounter8 got it, the numbers you're seeing are product IDs from the manufacturers. If you don't already have them, Buy some reloading manuals. Also, I believe the NRA has some material on reloading. Besides signaling primer size, the numbers can ID standard primers, magnum primers...

The mire gets deeper for Boeing

While watching part of the tutorial on the 787 I was struck by the amount of data needed to be input into a computer so the plane will fly. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean it's a good idea. We've had controls that signal computers what the pilot wants to do and computers...

Circuit Breakers fail in an electrical storm

Putting the entrance panel outside so the FD can turn off the power seems strange. Pulling the meter was the standard method in most other states. OK, IIRC, the new digital meters make that an issue as the power company needs to get involved in reinstallation, but that still seems to be a...

Glock ban moving forward in CA

Back in the day, several European countries flirted with the idea of full auto handguns for special purposes. Apparently Glock wanted to get in on it, their 33 round mag was part of that. Beretta actually produced their version-complete with folding fore end grip. Reality intruded at some point...
