    Mod 547

Headknocker, Thanks for your reply. The price that the shop was selling it for was "a lot lower" than what you gave as an estimate. I now have to scrounge up some funds to give this baby a proper home. How do you find the recoil and such, say compared to a K frame shooting .38 special? Maybe a...

    Mod 547

I have come across a mod 547 today, 9mm, 4 In. From what I ahave read in the internet, this was originally made for the Palestinians as ordered by the Israeli govt. Can anyone share their experience with this revolver. This particular piece appears used, about 90%, with Pachy grips. I tried...

30 Years Ago Today, John Wayne Died

I look forward to movies featuring him on AMC and Turner Classic. There's a 9 foot statue of him in Orange Couty Airport (renamed John Wayne Airport). I always try to use that airport just to have a glimpse of him and quietly pay my respects.

    Just bought two Air Rifles~~!!

You stole these!!!!! As mentioned, DO NOT DRY FIRE springers. The Yellow Forum can be a treasure trove of information and the people there are always ready to help. That FWB 124 you snagged is highly sought after. Good examples of German engineering.

Have to take my son to New York what are my options for carry,if any!

Ahhh. Astoria, Queens. There's good ethnic food around the Astoria area if you are into that sort of thing. The N train is not a "subway" there but is actually elevated. I have to drive with the family to NYC come July and I'm definitely leaving my pistol behind. I can't afford NY lawyers (to...

28-2 markings (updated with grip frame pictures)

I bought a 4" 28-2 from a local pawnshop and found it with unusual(to me) markings. It also has only 5 digits in the serial #. Bought this along with a 2 1/2 inch nickel 19-5. Any information appreciated as to the markings. I have no idea how old this is. It seems to have it's share of muzzle...

I have another chance to acquire a .38 snub - need opinion

I visited a local pawnshop and found a model 36 no dash 2" SB which looks clean---maybe 90%. There are some chipping in the stocks but the bluing looks good. Mechanically it needs a good cleaning as the cylinder does not rotate freely but it locks tight. Probably needs some cleaning an lubing...
