    340PD or a couple 442's, decisions decisions...

Can someone elaborate on the hornady ammo issues please? Haven't heard that and i actually just bought some of that and have shot 5 rounds of it already out of my gun.

    340PD or a couple 442's, decisions decisions...

thought I would let everyone know I finally bit the proverbial bullet and bought a NIB 340PD. Got it for $825.00 which was a smoking deal in my area for NIB PD J frame. Shot 45 rounds out of it yesterday and it was fine recoil wise for the first 20 or so rounds then it got to be annoying to the...

    Would like a 340PD - which model?

I just went the no lock route, could be more happier with it too. And just to put it into perspective, it was $470.00 more than a standard 442 for the savings of 3 ounces. Worth every penny if you can afford it sir.. btw, the midnight creeper MK1 pairs VERY well with the 340PD...

    New 360, 357 & bobbing hammer questions...

Well i did it. Removed the hammer and dremeled it off then used some flitz polish and cloth disc and smoothed it out. I could have done it longer but i was pressed for time. Put it back in and used the supper blue on it. Turned out good for me cause i'm gonna use the gun. Thanks for the help...

Diyj, did you remove trigger or do that with it in place? By the looks of the cut, it appears you did it still in the gun..

    New 360, 357 & bobbing hammer questions...

tenntex, I wanted this gun for its compactness minus the hammer. Meaning I jog with a very small fanny pack and my 442 fits in it but I have a hard time zipping it in that humped back area. Hence the lower cut model I bought. If I get rid of the hammer, it will fit right in there for me and that...

    New 360, 357 & bobbing hammer questions...

I am going to dremel it off then shape it with a file then coat it with some cobolt blue. A little time consuming but should not be an issue. If it gets too messed up, I can always buy a new hammer for it at a reasonable cost. To me the replacement cost is worth me trying it myself. Also, I...

    Crimson Trace 642 Options

I had a pair on a few of my guns awhile back and ended up selling them because during the day (bright day anyway), the dot was hard to find and in my opinion that if you have to use your gun seconds will count and hunting for a dot will take some seconds. To me it is important to practice point...

    New 360, 357 & bobbing hammer questions...

guys, I was checking out my local FFL yesterday and they had the new 360, 357 magnum. They had $526.00 on it and they offered it up for $485.00 plus tax. Needless to say I went for it as the gun has the stainless cylinder and the trigger was pretty good for a smith factory trigger compared to...

    340PD or a couple 442's, decisions decisions...

Guys my method of carry is already a very small fanny pack that barely fits the 442, so the 340pd will fit the same. The weight savings is the issue for the slapping when jogging. Don't want the belt to strangle me when i'm jogging. Pocket carry for off duty would be an option as well. Also...

    340PD or a couple 442's, decisions decisions...

OK, just did some pricing at my LGS and here is where I am at. 442, $350.00 442PC, $400.00 340M&P, $720.00 340PD, $833.00 And all are available at this time so my options are wide open. Regarding the ammo, I was talking about a 95 grain Hornady for weight savings only during exercise or...

    340PD or a couple 442's, decisions decisions...

I am contemplating buying another J frame and really the only reason is that I want the lightest J I can get for when I jog, exercise etc. I have a 442 and love it to the point that I want another but to fill a different roll. It is just killing me that I have to pay more than double the price...

    M442 vs. M&P Bodyguard 38 special vs. M442 PC

stick with what you have which is the standard J frame 442. The newer gun has a different release on it and that will be confusing if and when you need the gun, which one will you have and oh ****, I am now fumbling because I thought I had one and not the other. The old adage keep it simple...
