Eagle1*,
Not trying to be a smart alek here nor to be insulting, but here is my opinion about the laser dots. Why would you try to use the red dot in daylight, or even a green one. If there is plenty of light, I use the sights! I pay no attention to the laser any time I can see the sights well. It is only in periods of low light or no light that the laser dots are extremely useful. That can happen in daylight hours if one enters a place where the sun is not shining. I find the CT laser grips and laserguard sights to be extremely useful and have them on all my EDC guns.
AS has been mentioned here, the grips themselves work very well for me. They fit my hands and I like the rubber overmold texture. I do not care for the boot style grips but have a set on a J Frame that allows it to be pocket carried more easily than the models that extend below the butt frame, which is my preference. For me, the CT lasers grips do not ever replace my sights, but very positively augment my sights when lighting is poor enough to interfere with seeing my sights well and to also allow that red dot to show up very well.
Each of us has our own preferences, and I'm not critcizing your choices here. I just thought I'd present a differing viewpoint concerning these sights. I really like them!
