    Powder-Coated Bullets

If you are getting leading then it's a either the lube or the size. Commercially cast bullet frequently come with terrible lubes. Even with a properly sized bullet leading can occur with a bad lube. As far as bullet fit/size/diameter goes the PC coated bullets increase the size which maybe the...

Help with terminology and why I ask

While there are many published compressed load most powders won't require a full case or compressed load, The only case that is not apply is Black Powder. It is very important that BP fills the case and is at least slightly compress.

    Which Press to Buy?

While your looking be sure to check out the Forster COAX. No shellholders required. Easy and faster die insertions and removal. On the other hand I don't think there is a current production single stage press that is not excellent. Well maybe the Lee Reloaded as it is a light duty press and...

    digital powder measures

I've had the Gen 6 for 1.5 years. When loading 30/06 brass prepped and primed ready for bullet seating the Gen 6 keeps pace with that process without any delay. It also is very consistent and accurate when measures are weighted/checked on my 5-0-5. It does require a 3 minute warm up upon turning...

Thinking of changing/upgrading my single stage press.

I've had a Bonanza CO-AX for over 10 years and can say enough good thing about it. A couple of years ago a gentleman, REX Roach, posted this video on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c9ZFsSgyeA The way he mounted his CO-AX was the best "up grade" this press ever needed.

    Dillon Questions

I can't speak for the SDB but you will never regret the 550B. You can use your same dies and even your powder measures. I don't have the strong mount and I can't figure out why I'd want one. Certainly the spare parts kit would be worth while. I haven't use mine but its nice insurance. As far as...

    30 Carbine bullets

$80/1000, no leading, no lube mess, these are now my favorite for M1 Carbine loading. They do need to be seated slightly reaper than Armscor's.

    Balance beam scale care.

I made one with some surplus Lexan. Used "hi-tec" duck tape or a hinge. ;) This clear box is flipped back on the shelf when in use and flipped back over the 505 when not in use. Gotta love duck tape.

New Lee Auto Drum powder measure

A review of the Lee Auto Drum Powder Measure I received the Auto Drum PM and the additional set of Quick Change Drums from Titan Reloading. I washed all the parts with TSP and blow dried them with a DataVac. No prepping with graphite was done, but the hopper were rubbed down with a used drier...

    Sanity Check

I agree there are faster ways to prime like like the RCBS bench primer. On the other hand once the CO-AX presses primer seating system is set up for a specific cartridge it is probably one of the most precise for seating depth. That's is important for autoloaders like the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine...

    Lee Auto Drum Powder Measure

Yes that's the case for SS and turret presses. It's not the case for the 550B and the other progressive presses as it has a chain link reset with each cycling of the ram.

brand New Powder Measure Out There

I've found the micrometer on this model, the Classic PM, is easy to set and the settings are repeatable for the same lot # of a specific powder. The Quick Change Hoppers will be nice especially because of the price but as said the micrometer it comes with works very well.
