    Crimson Trace Laser Grips

I appreciate the information from all of you. My problem is age, and I can't see open sights very well any more. If I raise my head to get the sights in my bi-focals then the target is fuzzy. I was thinking the laser sight may help help. It is very frustrating for me because I have been a...

    Shoot The Dog?

We live in the country and operate a kennel for breeding Llewellin Setters. Some time ago a fellow (I did not know the guy) drove up to the kennel with a pit bull in the back of his jeep. The jeep had no top and the dog was not restrained in any way. I had one of my Llewellins out at the...

    15-3 grips

Thanks for the help guys. I think I am going to like this model 15. The single action trigger pull is every bit as nice (or better) than my custom 1911's.

    15-3 grips

I picked up a really nice 15-3 recently with wood target grips. Can someone tell me about this gun? Are these type grips original to the gun? serial # 1K85033 under the grips are G11 and 376CB Also, the target grips are too fat at the bottom for my hands so I purchased a Hogue rubber K...

    ammo advice plese

At age 61 my wife of 40 years has decided to start shooting handguns. She has shot everything I have from custom 1911's and STI double stacks to my J,K and N frame revolvers. She has settled on a 60-10 to call her own. She has enrolled in the next available course offered by our local law...

    Uncle Mikes J frame grips

I ordered the J Synthetic Full Size Grips from Smith and Wessons on line store. They seem to be an exact copy of the Uncle Mikes Combat Grips minus the checkering. I think I like the textured S&W grip better...plus they have the S&W logo. Thanks for the heads up Sportsterguy. I just ordered...

    holograph sight on a x-frame

I have a slide mounted J-Point on a 1911. I have only put about 100 rounds through it but it is holding up so far. I would think the 1911 slide banging at both ends of the stroke would be equal to or greater than the shock created by the 500.

    Uncle Mikes J frame grips

I agree, the combat grips are most comfortable J grips I have found. Thanks for the help guys...looks like the S&W's will work.

    Uncle Mikes J frame grips

I have a model 60-10 with Uncle Mikes black rubber finger groove grips. I think the particular grips are referred to as combat gips (they are full length). I have been looking for more grips of this type for my other J frames and have had no luck finding them. Can someone tell me where I can...

    finishing advice

Thanks for the help guys. This pistol is one of those projects where everything just turned out right. It will be a definate keeper and I am willing to spend $300 or so to get the finish I want. I made the grips from a chunck of stabalized buckeye I got from a friend who makes knife scales...

    finishing advice

I have finished a 1911 project using a Caspian frame (still in the white) and an old military TZ slide. Most of the internal parts are old forged military stuff. It has a fitted Kart match barrel and is extremely accurate. The frame/Slide fit is the best I have had on a govt model gun. I want...
