I would like to hear opinions from some of you experienced shooters regarding Crimson Trace laser grips on self defense guns. What are the pros and cons. My eyesight is not what it used to be and I am considering giving them a try.

I ordered the J Synthetic Full Size Grips from Smith and Wessons on line store. They seem to be an exact copy of the Uncle Mikes Combat Grips minus the checkering. I think I like the textured S&W grip better...plus they have the S&W logo. Thanks for the heads up Sportsterguy. I just ordered...

I have a slide mounted J-Point on a 1911. I have only put about 100 rounds through it but it is holding up so far. I would think the 1911 slide banging at both ends of the stroke would be equal to or greater than the shock created by the 500.
