    44 Special light load results today

    Light .44 Special load............. For a light load I shoot 3.5gr. or 5.0gr. Bullseye and a 200gr. RNFP Cowboy bullet, been shooting this load for 45-50 years now. It's useful for introducing youth and ladies to big bore revolver shooting.

    Mag-Na-Porting a 629

    Magna-ported M/629......... I have owned a Magna-ported 4" No dash M/629, I feel that it did provide a reduction in felt recoil, did not notice an increase in blast or noise. The gun was ported when I got it, would I port an un-ported gun definately not.

    Sizing lube........... I have used Imperial Sizing Wax for many years now with complete satisfaction. Apply with your finger tips and remove with a microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol.

    Badly crazed grips and starting over.....or not...update

    Woodworkers wanting to preserve the original finish use a product called Qualarenu by Behlen to do what they call a solvent refinish. Qualarenu dissolves the original finish allowing it to be spread around, I used it to repair the finish on a Newton rifle that had been too close to a hot stove...
