    14-3 8 3/8"

Took possession this week. The thing appears to have never been fired. The bluing is perfect and the cylinder is stiff to open and close. All the paperwork for the pistol is under the blue velvet plastic. The plastic is not in the greatest shape shape will send some pics soon. I don’t even...

    617 Leading on Top Strap

Wow! 13 year old thread revived! I ran across all of your responses this am. I am surprised at how I described this issue all those years ago. I still have this revolver. Almost sold it after I had an eye injury occur on Christmas Day 2015. I took my nephew out to shoot, and standing off to...

    10-7 (Pawn Shop)

Selling for $550.00 not sure about the price. Usually I can negotiate lower. He said not on this one. Locks up super tight with the trigger pulled and hammer down.

    14-2 Info Request (pawn shop)

Picked up the 14-4 and they had a 10-7. It is noticeably tighter at dropped hammer than the 14-4. Wondering if $600 is a good deal haha? See pic.

    14-2 Info Request (pawn shop)

Thanks for all the feedback guys. As soon as I start loading I will let you know. I did notice the cartridge impressions in the recoil shield ad hat has me a bit nervous. If the gun is faulty the seller will exchange or return my money. He’s a good guy. How do I have the timing checked?

    14-2 Info Request (pawn shop)

Thanks for the information everyone! I will get a pic under the strap when I pick it up. There is some wiggling in the cylinder, it’s definitely not “tight” which is one reason I thought that maybe I should not buy it. Here are some other pis I took at the shop, you can see the faint line I...

    14-2 Info Request (pawn shop)

Just picked this up for $400.00. Just wondering if anyone could say what they know about it. I had never seen one before and it looks well built. The serial number is k670 XXX. It has a little flame cutting so I would imagine it has been shot some. Prob 80-85% condition. What weight of...

    617 Leading on Top Strap

You got me on the superfluous info. The height thing must be making people think I am a loon. I mean 2 posts and all this irrelevant info. The height comment was to indicate the length of my gate. Indicating the 40 paces was close to 40 yards, and that the gun, although apppearing to lead...

Model 60 Lady Smith light firing pin strike.

Was out shooting my wife's lady the other day. We were shooting mag tech 38's. Noticed the firing pin marks on the brass seemed almost not enough to set the cartridge off. Any ideas? Also when I spin the cylinder the rims of the shells contact the frame when open.

    617 Leading on Top Strap

I know this has been covered here before. Yet, I am wondering if anyone has a new locking model 617 that leads around the frame where the barrel screws into the frame and on the top strap? I have shot maybe 300 rounds through my gun since I have last cleaned it. I have put maybe 1k rounds...
