A local consignment only gun shop has a Model 56 which I never heard of before. Then I found this older thread. The guys there are very sharp so I knew it wasn’t a misprint model number on the price tag. The price was somewhere north of five grand.

I have a beautiful Colorado Saddlery double belt that exhibits carving that’s as good as I’ve ever seen. I only mention it here because this company was founded by former Heiser employees and comparisons might be obvious. I bet the person who carved this belt also did some of the Heiser holsters...

What I like about the modern 92s pictured here with pistol grips is that the wrist and lever have a pronounced curve to them. The Uberti 73 rifles (which are beautiful) have pistol grips way far back that look totally cosmetic to me. And the levers look straight like a regular 73. My .44-40 1892...

It is a little out of proportion visually, but I can tell it must feel great when shooting. I bought the exact 19-4 a couple years ago and put factory round butt Diamond grips on it, along with a shiny T-grip.

It resembles the Electroless finish on my 1980 Python which might have been done for Colt by a Texas company called Nitex. Run by a guy named Ed House. In an early 70s G&A Annual I have there was another company who did this.

Here’s a Mexican style double buckle two gun rig I made just for the fun of it and one of those holsters on the one and only money belt I ever made. I just had to try it once. Both lined belts made of the same heavy but rather soft leather and very comfortable.
