I have a nickel .32 DA that the finish has lots of dark spots. When I run my finger nail over the spots they are perfectly smooth. That is, I can't feel the spots from the rest of the finish. Can I polish them out without harming the revolver? If so how? Thanks much.

A few months ago I got a Remington-Rand 1911A1 from CMP. I set about obtaining the proper barrel grips, etc. I wanted to return it to as issued when new. My wife chastised me. You're destroying it's history! Opinion please. Am I a dunderhead? Or is my lovely bride out of line?

I like to collect boxed ammo for my firearms. For example, A box of 1898 .38 for my S&W SA model 2, .WW-2 45 ACP for my 1911A1 etc. My problem is that I cannot resist opening the sealed boxes. :( The boxes call to me "Open me, look at me." Do others share this problem, or am I weird?:D
