    High Standard's "The Victor"

I picked up this example just this morning, a 107 series with the 4½" barrel and steel rib dating to 1972. Not absolutely mint but more than nice enough. The barrel weight is a plus. Only 1.564 of this exact configuration were ever made.

J Frame Snub Owners: What is your favorite EDC Holster?

I just acquired this one which I believe is of older manufacture. I don't know if all the Bianchi leather is now "Hecho en Mexico" and if so what the quality is like.

    Commercial Victory model

You didn't get hurt and even if you had been a little it's a case of sometimes having a bit of an unusual gun pop up in front of you that if you don't grab it then you'll later regret not having gotten it more than being out the few extra bucks.

A 25-5 Shows Up at the Show Yesterday

Here's mine, nothing remarkable, "N" prefix dating to 1981 or so (the barrel is still pinned).

    Commercial Victory model

I'd simply comment that these "commercial Victory" types do occupy a bit of a niche for advanced collectors, but in general command only a slight premium over other early postwar Military & Police revolvers. What may enhance its value further is if it can be documented as shipping to a law...

    Help identifying Model 59 sights

That was made by MMC (Miniature Machine Company). An excellent aftermarket accessory for the 39/59.

    An Anomalous H&R Sportsman

Another of these surfaced this month in an auction. The listing represents it as dating to the "mid-1950's" but the detailed description of its markings would seem to peg it as having been manufactured in the 1937-39 time frame. The "R" serial number prefix thus remains enigmatic and...

    Identity help, please!

I'd previously posted mine that is very similar to yours - https://smith-wessonforum.com/threads/a-british-service-revolver-canadian-issue.730500/

    Banned Firearm

That the military hasn't yet experienced a documented instance of an uncommanded discharge doesn't negate what has repeatedly occurred in the civilian sphere. It's akin to being struck by lightning. While that only rarely happens, I still don't go outside during a thunderstorm.

Early .22 Outdoorsman with neat grip adapter

For what it's worth, 649663 shipped in March of 1933, while 657941 went out the door in August of 1936.

    Early hand ejector..please help identify

I think the nickel plating probably isn't original either. The spot where the upper sideplate screw should be looks to be pretty messed up, too. It's no longer in collectible condition. The attached photo is of an unmodified nickeled example.

This plays into how Sig Sauer continues to frame their position per the portion of their recent open letter I posted above. The terms they're using in that document are "trigger pull" and "trigger actuation" neither of which are for the purpose of their claims well defined. Does taking up that...

    Model 60 info

There was a 60-1, which was a 3" heavy barrel with a square butt. 171 of these were made in 1972. The practice of pinning revolver barrels was abandoned in 1982. For whatever reason, I don't believe this resulted in a "dash" number (denoting an engineering change) being upped one or added on to...

    Banned Firearm

For what it's worth, this is an excerpt from an open letter put out by Sig Sauer on July 24 of this year: "The P320 cannot, under any circumstance, discharge without a trigger pull. Lawsuits with claims that the P320 is capable of firing without a trigger pull have been dismissed in twelve (12)...

I'd call it as dating to 1983.

    Banned Firearm

This is an interesting report, albeit rather bureaucratic. My takeaway is that the Sig Sauer representatives were pretty effective and persuasive with an argument that basically went: "Don't believe your lying eyes. The design of our pistol is infallible, and what you think happened is simply...

    Banned Firearm

The current thinking is that a P320 can spontaneously discharge under a combination of unlikely circumstances. Some possible contributing factors are components with an unfortunate alignment in one direction of barely being within tolerances, otherwise poorly formed/fabricated parts in the...
