Blame their stupid marketing department for that. All they would have to say is "Comes with factory case and one mag!" which is accurate, and should remove most doubt.

That sounds like an export model 5906. Does it have matching serial numbers on the slide and frame (and possibly the barrel as well)? The export models had this, to comply with European law. It's likely worth more to a collector than a "plain-jane" NIB 5906.
