    Great old 5 screw 22lr

The mainspring screw is not an adjustment - it is designed to be tight (all the time). You found the brink of “light indent” when you swapped out springs to where your gun would not fire. Rimfire guns need more “spring power” to fire rimfire ammo.

Factory repair - now heavy trigger pull

Yes, no doubt they brought your gun back to factory specs due to identifying aftermarket parts or a Bubba kitchen table smithing attempt. After all, guns are designed and expected to work properly when they leave the factory.

    1006 10mm Label question

I cant answer all of your questions but having been in the factory “storage” room where I saw shelves and rows of handguns boxed and ready for shipment, they all had labels on the boxes (how else could they do an order pick?) So, I would expect the SOC was the date the finished product was boxed.

By now, all of us have heard about the "incident" in Minnesota.

They can investigate it as anything they want… the mentally ill trans shooter is gone but with the climate of the naysayers, nothing will be done other than try to cram through more gun laws…

    Mainspring adjustment screw

Likely not mentioned because the OP was talking about the “adjustment screw” officially known as the mainspring! But - you are correct that the rebound spring also affects trigger pull. Maybe some of the matched aftermarket kits have perfected a 100% lighter pull function but as a dept armorer...

    Mainspring adjustment screw

This has been discussed on many occasions but as noted, there is no “adjustment screw” on a S&W. The mainspring is designed to be tight for everything else within to operate as designed. If you feel you “must” do some alteration, then about 3 strokes with a file across the bottom of the screw...

There is still WW1 ammo being fired that works just fine. Thinking you are seeking a solution to a non problem.

    DO NOT ASK sign

Actually by code it is suppose to be purple paint 2”x8” vertical with center of paint between 3’ and 6’ off the ground on trees, fence posts and road border areas. No distance between painted areas are specified.

    DO NOT ASK sign

Im in VA and currently have the same problem. Now trespassers are coming in with ATV’s through adjoining property that owners live out of state. My signs have been torn down and they are creating trails and using my trails and roads… New signs and chains going up this week along with game cameras.

    Re-Bluing a Model 13 Cylinder

Sounds like you have a keeper and are ok with sending it back to the guys that made it… Just suck it up and do it and you will have it looking new and you can have it checked out for timing, end shake and other such conditions. If you part it out it may end up looking like a repainted fender on...

    How to value "collectibles?"

Sought after models in high condition will always bring a premium regardless of the economy, etc. So don’t let a slick talker tell you otherwise. Do some gunbroker SOLD searches and see what the market has been offering for similar guns. You can set a reasonable reserve and good if you get it...

    saw a 27-2 5in

Easy to see rust indicates poor care and rubber grips could hide some serious finish issues. $400 would be my thought on value.

    Model 28-2 info

All the extras you gun in question has were available in blister rack packages for consumer install. As noted, if you have the box then the label will indicate how it came from the factory.
