    Free magazines offer on M&P's

The form said something like they had to verify the serial number of the pistol. I don't know what they mean by that, except maybe to determine if it was indeed shipped to the store where you bought it. I found a phone # on the form but not a website for inquiry. Still, 8-10 weeks isn't up yet.

    Free magazines offer on M&P's

I mailed my form off with a copy of my receipt for my M&P CORE PC. Too bad I didn't see the on-line submission. Whatever, I made the deadline. The gun is pretty cool too!

    Guncrafter Industries Model 4

It is indeed fun. It's not a wrist twister like a 50AE. Loads are very close to those for the 45acp. One really needs to be a reloader for this since ammo is not readily available. Even the brass is not cheap at 50 cents each from Guncrafters. Still, it's very cool. The grips are ivory and...

    Lee crimp die

I don't seat and crimp in one step. I sometimes use FCD's but not for lead bullets. As stated by others, if the reload is done properly, the FCD adds no advantage. And, IMHO, Redding and RCBS dies are superior and I've replaced all my Lee dies over the years.

    Remmington Thunderbolt bulk pack

My 15-22 shoots any brand of ammo. I can't really say which is more accurate. Too many variables and frankly I'm a lousy shot. I just have fun...

    JM 625 Thoughts

I have one. I had to change the grips. Didn't like the stock ones. DID like the finish, and I shoot 45 AR in it. I also shoot 45 Super. It can handle the loads fine. It's a fun gun. I'm not Jerry so I don't care to mirror his mods.

    Considering Reloading

Reloading, yeah. You will start out with something like this: and progress to this: And have a heap of fun in the process.

    22 ammo in further decline?

There is some .22lr, just gotta be in the right place at the right time. The last 3 times I got any they were just stocking the shelves. Part of the problem is that some people think they need 25k rounds. You get even a small % of people doing that and the shortage becomes epidemic.

    Who needs factory ammo?

I haven't bought factory ammo in many years. I reload 22 calibers, mostly pistol except for .223. Reloading is a fun hobby and, as a BK amputee, I can sit for hours and enjoy myself. Savings are quite dramatic when reloading 50AE, 50GI, 500 mag and 460 mag. And I get to tailor the loads from...

    Bent on getting a 500S&W

The key to the big bore stuff like the 460 and 500 is to reload. I have a 460xvr and2 500's, the 4" and 8" bbls. I reload with a 330gr lead bullet and 10gr of Trail Boss. Like a cap gun. If you wanna go stouter there's H110, Lil Gun, etc. Someone gave me some CorBon ammo. It's tough to shoot...

Why such a difference in value between 625 and 610 revolvers?

I found a 610-3 not too long ago at my LGS. Since I reload 10mm I wasn't concerned with the price of ammo, so I bought it and love it! It had been sitting so long in the case that it was really dirty-looked like it was used but it was BNIB. The dirt wasn't from being fired, it was surface dirt...

I've got a rant!! You may not like it....

I have a 28-2 from '76; also a Ruger Service Six from that same year. The workmanship (fit and finish) on both is superior to current offerings from each company. That said, I have several new Rugers and about a dozen late model Smiths. I had only 2 issues, a bad cylinder on a JM 625 and Smith...

.45 ACP Revolver Picture Thread (All Models)

I have a couple I shoot a lot of .45 AR thru them. The cylinder on the JM had to be replaced since it had tool lines in it. I was told that was fairly common. S&W paid the freight and took care of it for me.

    500 magnum

I can neither confirm nor deny that Berry's bullets can be used up to 2,000 fps. I posit that they can, but I personally don't consider it advisable. I am not a ballistics guy so I have no science to cite here, but intuitively I would decline to load a plated bullet that hot.

Advice for new and would-be .500 S&W Magnum shooters...

Just got an early model 8.375" 500 lightly used. Has the old style compensator. Came with a few empty rounds which used LP primers not LR, so it's early, IMHO. Loaded up some 350g XTP's with 18g Unique as per Lyman 49, and a few with 11.0g Titegroup as per MD Smith. Ordered some 335g lead which...

    Storage of S&W Letters??

I like that the letters use a courier non-proportionally spaced type. Makes them look "old fashioned" as though they came from a typewriter. You remember typewriters?

Why do I reload? I think I am gonna quit!

Why cook when you can dine out? Because you can make it your way and have the satisfaction of doing so, and seeing the result. I probably wouldn't shoot at all if I couldn't reload. I have a lot of $ sunk into this hobby and I enjoy it! When I get in a funk I usually find another caliber to take...

Any Reason to Load .45 Auto Rim?

I load the .45 acp and the .45 ar just so I can have another cartridge to play with. I have a .45 auto and a 625. I like to keep the acp brass just for the auto.
