I plan to call S&W in the morning. I checked Numrich, and the part I need is currently sold out. Thanks for that tip!

    S&W 2206 parts?

I have a 2206, and the sideplate under the left grip has a tab that broke off. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? It looks like this piece is just stamped steel. The gun still runs, and shoots well, but the plate rides up a bit and needs to be manually pushed down. It annoys me...

    325/329PD question?

A transfer bar would transfer the force of a hammer to the firing pin. I think the new smiths, like the older ones, have a HAMMER BLOCK. A HAMMER BLOCK blocks the hammer from striking the firing pin when it's in the way. The hammer block is held out of the way by the trigger mechanism when...

    What would you do?

I bought one of these for my Girlfriend when we were in college. I still have the box, she has the revolver. She always got the better end of the deal. One of these days, I'll replace it. I keep promising myself. K frame snubbies are just great guns.

Ladysmith 642 with presentation box value

Do you know the which engineering change it is? What is the number after the dash? Factory NEW ones are going for $625-$650 in my neck of the woods, with the infernal lock. I must say, if I ran across one at $400 unfired except for the factory, I'd already have bought it. Really there is...

    Combat Grips

I find the Altamont Grips fit my hand the best. (The ones that come on Lady Smith revolvers) The one on the right is the K frame round butt. The one on the left is the J frame round butt.

Looking at Model 625 two questions

You'll need to get some. You CAN shoot the revolver without moon clips, but the rounds won't necessarily be centered in the cylinder, and you will have to poke out each spent case with a pencil. Moon Clips can be had from Brownells or any number of online dealers. TK Customs comes to mind off...

    66 ladysmith

I would think that $600 would be a fair price for a 66LS. I am POSITIVE that I won't be spending $1200 on one. I have these two in my safe now, one is a 66-5 in .357 the other is a 631 in .32 Magnum.

    66 ladysmith

Back in "the day" Smith and Wesson had quite a few of their revolvers available in "LadySmith" trim. They actually made a few LadySmith J frames and K frame revolvers. The finish was bead blasted, and the grips were either Uncle Mike Combat grips, or Rosewood Laminate (either panels, or Combat...
