Lightning strikes twice

I found a 3" Model 13-5 on Gunsamerica for $410 and it's now being shipped to my ffl, should be there Monday. Well I happened to be at Coliseum Gun Traders on Long Island and what do I see? A 3" Model 65-5 for $379. Except for blackened front of the cylinder it's pretty clean and the bore is exceptional. Needless to say what I did next

Congratulations on you two finds. Does Andy in Coliseum have many used Smiths in the store? I live in Massapequa, was wondering if its worth the ride to the store.

I've seen no lock J frames and some long barrel L and N frames plus Colt revolvers if you're interested. Also they have in the safe a Lew Horton Model PC-13 with the shrouded ejector rod and factor porting. They want 1600 for it because it supposedly was the first sample out of the factory. I was absolutely drooling over their selection of high end 1911's especially the Springer Bureau model, Operator TRP and all their Nighthawks. Since you're in Massapequa shotguntom has Marty increased his handgun stock at TnT since he started selling them again?

From my experience I think you are to be congratulated more for actually having someone answer you from a GunsAmerica ad and then actually having the gun and selling it to you . . . .

Are they really that bad? Well I guess calling them to monitor the sale is just as important.

I cant say one way or another about their inventory, as some time back Marty flat out lied to me about a rifle I was buying. I simply wont go in to T+T anymore.
