Why don't you pull the bullet & powder on a couple. Then set the primed case in whatever you use to prime and see if you can feel the primer seat when you nudge it.

For years my favorite has been the Lyman 452460 (200 gr SWC) over 4.5 grains of 700X. My 4 cav mold is older than than the hills but it is a very sweet casting mold. Using scrap lead I'm shooting for less than a nickle a round.

Its been about 15 years since I sent mine in for a re-sharpen. It was dirt cheap. Very nice folks to work with.

Rahjerz, I have its twin brother. A 629-1 classic hunter new in the box. I had every intension of using it but everyday life got in the way. I also have a 686-1 classic hunter as featured in S&W 1989 Catalog. Never got around to firing that one either.
