    617 Performance Center Manufacturing Date

the Netherlands is very strict towards home defence. You can only politely ask an intruder to leave, or try to stop him with stretched arms... Any form of pressure or violence and you end up in jail faster -and longer-than the perpetrator in question. A window sticker with [this house is...

LPA makes great sights! Had one on my 1939 Colt model 1911 A1, a very low profile one that could use the standard front sight of the 1911 A1. And I was very happy with it! http://www.lpasights.com/catalog.html

Picked up my new Kit Gun today

Congratulations, this is a beautiful little one! Be warned; Maybe you have to find your wife and daughter another gun. :D They are such fine shooters, mine, a flatlatch Square Butt model, ended up being my most favorite gun to shoot. To my own surprise I found myself picking it up more than my...

    15 American Eagles...

What is the price of one Silver Eagle these days?

    15 American Eagles...

Normally, they are. But, as I suffer from an irritating and almost "chronical" tennis-arm, I find this 34 more comfortable to shoot for the duration of a match-routine. (40 round match, 10 practice/sighting in rounds). My Model 18-1 has a much better trigger and superiour sights and will...

    Purty Li'l Thang

What a beautiful little revolver. It would make nice company to my blue 4" 34 flat latch!

    15 American Eagles...

My little Model 34 is used to CCI Standard ammo, but now I found a cheap source for American Eagle. As I was curious as to how the Model 34 would perform with this ammo, so I used my normal practice of shooting 15 round without checking in between. (obviously, I DID see the first couple in the...

The long road can be quite satisfying :) We Dutch have to import almost everything these days. We even get things like beans from places as Kenia, or Egypt, although our farmers are quite capable to produce very tasty ones... But I digress; I had been searching for years for a Model 18 and...

Hope to hear about shooting it and see some pics of that 617 PC! :) My 18-2 took about 2 months to arrive, imported for me by 'my' gunshop from Germany to the Netherlands. It was well worth the wait!

    .38/.357 to .22lr set

First I like to clarify that it is NOT my set! I have no gun to fit it to... Although not shown as a seperate part in tne photo, there are small inserts with an eccentric protrusion you place behind the .22lr cartridge. In the catalog, downloadable as pdf, there is an example on another...

    .38/.357 to .22lr set

The knurled rod is indeed for extracting the casings after firing. The gunsmith who is selling this, is at the other end of the Netherlands. And although Netherlands is small, it is still almost a 3 hour drive. I am not completely sure about how the barrel is fixed. I think you could be right...

    .38/.357 to .22lr set

Thank you Gil, for explaining this. Sadly, I do not own a gun to fit this set to. I always hear that some laws are quite 'easy' and others are as strict as ours, in some states. This set intrigued me and I was wondering about the legality of it in the United States. The price would be no...

    .38/.357 to .22lr set

Not sure whether this is the right place to put this? But I came accross a set to convert a 3" .38/.357 revolver to shoot .22lr ammo I wanted to show to you. Is this legal practice in the USA? Overhere, you can add it to your permit IF you own a gun it can be fitted to. It is for sale at one of...

Found a pre 12 flatlatch 2" RB, pics

Nice find! What a beauty, love the flat latch, Round Butt and hammer. Also love the reason why you 'needed' that gun! ;) But, as the box states Square Butt, I think you should search for a Square Butt model and sell this one (to me?)

    Refinish 1917 or not?

It is YOUR gun, you decide, but if it was mine; I'd keep it that way! It has a story to tell, probably even more than one. Refinshed it misses out on character and charisma?

    +Kit Gun?

Kit Gun, one of my favorite tags! My Model 34 in 4" is a gun that gives me a lot of joy. It shoots very well and I take it out to the range almost as much as my Model 18-2. You can see it here next to it's somewhat larger companion. the Model 18-2: And here another pic, now fitted with...

What is this please? I've never seen one.

At least a couple of the 686's with the adjustable front sight in 6" made their way to the Netherlands. I remember seeing some in a gunshop in the early 90's of the last century, and also a German guy using one at a match.

    More .22LR, M63

Flat Latch 34 As I really love shooting my Model 34, a picture of it should be in this thread too: It is a wonderful, great shooting revolver. As my right arm only has about 40% of its normal lifting capacity because of a _what seems everlasting- tennis-arm, I find myself shooting it a lot...
