Allan, great looking gun. The occasional poster has discovered, to their dismay, that the plastic medallions dissolve in acetone when soaking the grips for cleaning.
Nice catch, I remember when I was 6 my dad checked out the k-22's from the P.D. Armory and would take me out and taught me to hip shoot. In those days the P.D. would rather give the officers 3 boxes of 22 instead of 1 box of 38's to practice.
Congratulations on finding this fine Combat Masterpiece!
It took me quite a few years to find mine, an 18-2.
CM`s are a joy to shoot and a joy to look at.
Allen - Thanks for generating a bunch of conversation on the wonderful K-22 combat Masterpiece. I only have Three , one each five, four and three screw models. I passed on a rough five screw at Cabella's last week. The price was $799 plus tax and it sold. Leo
I bought a VG 1955 CM about 2 weeks ago for $350.00 and a nice 5 screw just sold on GB for $460, #210980383, they are still around but not as nearly as common as the 6" Masterpiece.
