    Rocky MT. Ram

I bought mine at the Gart Bros.closing here in CO Never have fired it, but they had maybe a half dozen for sale at the time. Should have bought them all. Can't remember how long ago it was, but it was after Sports Authority bought out Gart Brothers. I have always assumed that these were a...

How Many Carry the Model 38 Humpback?

Carried one for years before "shall carry" allowed me to get my CCW. Now I carry a 242 which, come to think of it, is like an over grown Model 38.

What guns do you carry the most?

S&W 242 in a DeSantis Speed Scabbard is my usual carry backed by a nickel plated Model 38 or a KelTec P-32 in pocket holster.

What did my sweat do to the finish on my airweight?

I picked up an Airweight Ti 332 on the cheap because the frame surface around the laminated grips had basically been destroyed by this sort of "worm corrosion". I have no idea what caused it and, as this is a daily carry piece, I don't much care. I do have another pristine 332 that I expect...

    I love carrying my S&W Model 12-3

Great choice.... I've carried my Model 12-2 often. An easy, light carry with 6 solid shots.

    .32 H&R Magnum

Buzz.... I'm an old guy too. I own two 332's. One fairly pristine and the other with some finish issues that I picked up on the cheap and carry often. Yes, 32 Mag can be expensive and harder to find, certainly moreso than 38 Special. But the 332 Ti is a dream to carry and the extra round is a...

    Keep Unfluted 686?

It'll sell in a heartbeat on this forum, if that's what you wish to do. From a technical POV, it just adds weight to the gun and not much in the way of additional pressure tolerance. Some people like the more unconventional look, some don't. I own a few non-fluted guns and they're OK, but it's...

Help. Wife is left eye dominant.....

I'm in complete agreement with Badge 851. I'm strongly left eye dominant but right handed. This is not a particular problem with a handgun... for what it's worth, I'm a natural point shooter with my ccw guns anyway. Long arms are tougher however. I do not shoot rifles left handed yet, but will...

What's you favorite obsolete or obscure round.

I have a Star Super Modelo in 9mm Largo that I just love to shoot. It's virtually identical to 38 Super (which will load, fire and eject easily in my gun with a Wolff Extra Power recoil spring). Though not recommended, I have no problem doing this. DCC: Are you allowed to keep your .455 in...

    Anyone Woods Carry A 629 6" ?

Sure, it can be done... I did it for a few years myself. But a 6" 629 is a big, heavy weapon and you will know it's there! I went to a 4" .41 Magnum... much easier to tote all day. Not much lighter of course but a more comfortable package.

    Smith 242

They were only produced for 9 months IIRC Ed. I carry mine almost every day.

Gads, what an ugly little thing ...

Make an ugly woman your wife. Why, because she'll always be there for you. That's a pretty piece, deserving of respect and honest use. Yes the Bodyguards aren't the prettiest, but you can grow to love them deeply. I prefer the Airweights and own a pretty (to me) nickle-plated 638 at the...
