    Stocking up on Ammo.

Well, if a couple of small Central American countries run low, I can help them out...... Enough said.

    180 gr 357.

My notes indicate very good accuracy with the Lil'Gun load with the 185 gr. RNFP-GC cast bullets I was using in my Marlin leverguns. Hope this helps. Fred

    180 gr 357.

The highest velocity, with lower pressure, is attained with Hodgdon Lil'Gun powder with 180 gr.+ cast bullets in .357 Magnum rifles. There's lots of data posted by the manufacturers. You just have to look for it. Hope this helps. Fred

FTF with PMC Bronze .38 Special ammo

Put the offending rounds in a .38 Spl. seating die and set the bullets back a few thousands of an inch to break the seal. Then use your kinetic bullet puller to finish the job. Hope this helps. Fred

    180 gr 357.

Hi Wade, Unfortunately, I lost Quick Loads in a computer crash quite some time ago and never installed it on the replacement. If you subscribe to Loaddata.com, they've got several loads with LilGun listed with a similar bullet. You'd be safe using the loads they have listed for the 180 gr. Rim...

    Resizing 10mm Brass

No brass with a Glock bulge gets reloaded in my shop. I only mentioned the Case Master Jr. because of the ongoing conversation. It does uniform the cases full length and does away with any burrs on the rims from striking gravel or concrete upon ejection. Hope this helps. Fred

    180 gr 357.

My self imposed rule is to not post exact loading data on the internet, for various reasons. I used to be a moderator on three different reloading forums and I saw some really bizarre data posted. With that said, Loaddata.com has loads listed for a 185 gr. cast GC bullet and LilGun from 14...

    180 gr 357.

That has about as much bearing surface as the SAECO 185 gr. RNFP bullet that I cast. I add a gas check, since I have the gas check making tool for plain base bullets that crimps to the base when sized. I use Hodgdon LilGun in loads for 180 to 185 gr. bullets in the .357 Magnum rifles. With...

    Can't ID this S&W case

I've got one that was given to me by Chuck Cheshire, when Cheshire & Perez were the California distributors for S&W. It was made to carry four boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells, back when S&W sold shotguns in the 1970's. Chuck was an avid trap shooter and he used to save his blue Remington...

    .38 Reloads

When I was shooting on our dept. pistol team for PPC, THE standard load was 2.7 gr. of Bullseye under a 148 gr. HBWC. Perfectly accurate at 50 yards from most any 6" revolver, but especially so in our PPC revolvers. Hope this helps. Fred

Wadcutters were developed for target revolvers with LONG barrels

Back in the 1970's, I shot on our department pistol team in PPC matches pretty much every weekend during the season, plus about 1,000 rounds per month in practice. My PPC gun was a 6" S&W Model 14, with a Bomar rib installed, that I still have. From a Ransom Rest, it would put 10 rounds of...

    Resizing 10mm Brass

I have 10mm handguns from several different companies. The Springfield XDm provides the most support for the case, and the Witness is second best. Of course, the S&W 610 is the best, but it's a revolver. The Colt Delta Elite isn't much better than Glocks when it comes to an unsupported...

    53 Jet 4”….

I'm looking for a .22 Magnum cylinder. They were once offered that way, from what I understand. The box my Model 53-2 came in is printed .22 Magnum, and it has the factory label with the serial number on it. I have a boatload of .22 Magnum ammunition I'd like to use in one of my Model 53's...

.38 Special Brass with large primer pocket

No, all solid base. I've had many in the last 62 years of loading the .38 Spl. I currently load around 6 to 8 thousand rounds of .38's a year to keep my wife and I shooting in SASS matches. Bullets are cast with a Magma Master Caster and loaded on a Hornady LnL press. If you want to do...

.38 Special Brass with large primer pocket

When I started reloading in 1963, one of the local gun shops had two fish bowls full of .38 Spl. brass. One was large primers and the other was small primers, for .01 cent each, your choice. I still have a few samples of LP primed .38 and .357 brass in my collection. Hope this helps. Fred

    53 Jet 4”….

I have two 6" Model 53's. I've been searching high and low for an extra .22 Magnum cylinder, but no luck so far. I have the inserts for both of my guns, and the original box and papers for one of them. If anyone has a lead on an extra .22 Magnum cylinder, I'm definitely interested....

    Model 59

The Model 39 was made for the U.S. Air Force, but they didn't adopt the gun because it wasn't 100% reliable with flat nose bullets, which is what they wanted to shoot. The first ones were steel framed, which are very rare. After the USAF turned down the guns, they were released to the civilian...

    USMC: Thompson vs. Reising SMG's

My Dad was stationed at Ewa Marine Air Station, Hawaii, on December 7th, 1941, when the Japanese attacked and destroyed all their planes (Brewsters and Wildcats). He was assigned to VMF-121, and in October, 1942, he and his half of the squadron landed on Guadalcanal, where they endured nightly...

    Going old school- Model 59

The Model 59 was Joe Foster's last design for S&W before he retired. Look at the extractor and see if there is a small dot, or punch mark on the front of it. If so, it's been updated with the replacement parts S&W sent out in 1979 to cure some feeding and ejection problems we were having...

    Federal 45 ACP primer surprise

This has been a discussion on many of the reloading forums for the past several years. Here is an explanation I posted on THR: The demand for non-toxic priming has been long in coming, and has resulted in a lot of pressure on the ammunition companies to produce primers that don't contain lead...
