Ha the thing is I don't know what to expect cause I'm a complete newbie to revolvers. I just got to reading around the internet, which never yields the most accurate or consistent views, and thought I would ask here. Also never said I expected S&W to do work I request free of charge.

So do you guys think I should leave it? Should I send it back to be made a tighter gap? Is that something s&w even does?

Well it looks like the tip of the firing pin had some displaced metal on the head preventing it from going back. Where can I order the firing pin and other parts from?

So I went to shoot my s&w 500 today. I loaded it up and went to cock the hammer. The hammer wouldnt go back. I noticed that the back of the casing was getting caught up on the firing pin. I unloaded it and tried pushing the firing pin back and it wouldnt budge. I tried dry firing it and the pin...

I recntly got a S&W .500 4" in a trade and was looking for suggestions on what ammo to buy for it. I want the full power load for it (not anything watered down). I was going to order some from double tap ( that's where I buy all my 10mm ammo from) but wasn't sure how their .500 ammo was.
