*** is wrong with these people?

Watching people do dumb things is just great fun! Keep it up, stupid people. We all need the entertainment these days ! ( I mean in addition to Washington.)

Are many people buying new S&W revolvers?

My son recently bought a Pro Series 686 S SR. I had the opportunity to shoot it this week. All I can is wow! If people are not buying SW revolvers, they should be! This is a great guy to shoot. Accurate, balanced, just wonderful. I want one too!

To shoot or not to shoot

In addition to shooting, I have several old cars. All work done by me. The car guys have the same issues. Drive them, or trailer them. In my case, if I have to tow it, it must be broken. If the car cannot be driven to a show, well, I don't want to own that one. HOWEVER, there are very rare cars...

As a veteran, this makes me sick!

I too am a Vet (2nd Armored Division '68 to '71) and I am sad to see this. I read this on FOX, as you would not really ever see it on CNN, the Communist News Network. It is, however, what I would expect in an all to liberal country. But, America is great, and most Americans are repulsed by this...

    How bout them GAMECOCKS?

First, I was wondering what we were talking about. Thank God I figured it out quick enough. Thought I was on the wrong forum......

How many guns do you need to own before you are a certified gun nut?

Depends on your political affiliation. If you are a Republican and own one gun grip, your Demo friend will call you a gun nut. If you are a Demo and refuse to own a gun because they are dirty evil things that are used ONLY to kiil innocent animals and wonderful missunderstood people who are...

1911 Barrel Bushing to Barrel Clearance

The question is really about the 1911. The 52 shoots winning groups. I don't try to adjust the barrel bushing on the 52. I snug it with the Smith and Wesson spanner wrench that came with the gun originally, so I am gussing it needs to be a little snug as you may have to turn it slightly from...

1911 Barrel Bushing to Barrel Clearance

Thanks for the replys. I am mesmerized by this subject. I am going to keep researching the bushing clearance issue. I have a 1911 that just about falls apart when you look at it, yet shoots great groups. I also have a 52-2 that has an adjustable bushing. It comes with a spanner wrench to...

1911 Barrel Bushing to Barrel Clearance

I have read many posts about barrel bushings. (on many forums) They talk about bushing to slide fit and bushing to barrel fit, but I have yet to find anything that states what the clearance should be between the bushing and the barrel. The opinions on slide fit vary from "you should need to use...

    Model 52 rear sight spring

I have been told that the Model 52 has a spring under the rear sight. I have a model 52 that has no spring. There is a hole that could be for a spring, but no spring. The guns shoots great and I have never experienced a problem, but I am curious about the spring. Anyone have any information on...

    Any 22a owners out there?

22a for my wife I have posted this else where on the site as well. Good gun, bad trigger. I shoot competitively and NEVER see a 22a. Rugers and Model 41 Smiths are the only 22's on the line. The Rugers, mine included, prevail. All have modified triggers and usually bull barrells. The 22a is a...

    22A

22a for my wife. I bought this as a starter gun for my wife. I broke it in for her and at first I had problems. It finally worked itself in and has been very good. It does not like standard velocity ammo. Has problems there. With CCI at 1200 fps, it is great. I installed a very good UltraDot on...

    PPK yes or no?

PPK/S : I like it. ( but not because it shoots well!) If you are a James Bond lover, you HAVE to have a PPK. I bought a PPK/S almost a year ago. It is SS and I replaced the grips with Rosewood models. Do I love it? YES. It is very cool. Does it shoot like my Model 52-2? Of course not. It...

    Mounting a Red Dot on a 52

This was really helpful. I have a 52 and it is in outstanding condition. My eyes are not as good as they once were and I wanted to use a DOT with it. BUT, I am not willing to drill and tap it. Now I have some info on "bolt-on" mounts. Great help!! Thanks for posting this great info.

    Just purchased a Model 52-2

Optical sights and old age..... I use optical ( DOT ) on almost everything I own, EXCEPT my 1911 and the 52. I cannot bring myself to put optical sights on them. I am a traditionalist!! ( And 62 years old and I cannot see the sights and the target at the same time anymore! ) :)

    Just purchased a Model 52-2

Thanks for the response'. I want two more mags because we shoot a timed round of 5 shots, 4 times. The line would wait for me to reload my two mags, but I hate that. So I will most likely buy two more. The Midway mags appear to be S&W mags at a lower price. The numbers are the same. Will buy and...

    Just purchased a Model 52-2

A happy day for me. The gun was owned by the owner of the range where I shoot. He had two, and now he has one! ( In truth, it was his wife's gun.) I am a very happy owner as I was able to shoot the gun BEFORE I bought it. And it is wonderful. Came with the original box and two mag's. Of course I...
