The 325pd is lighter in weight as it is a Scandium Alloy Frame and Titanium Alloy Cylinder as opposed to the Thunder Ranch which has Stainless Steel Cylinder. The barrel design is a little different and the sights but other than that all else is the same.

The serial number is BHF3640. It is stamped 27-5 and when I called Smith & Wesson they verified it is a 27-5 made in 1991. It is an "N" frame revolver. The 586 is an "L" frame, that's why this has me so puzzled. I am adding additional pics.
