    4056 TSW

We have been to the range a few times with his 4056 but I have yet to fire it. It does cycle just fine and he has not complained about the function. It was just me thinking the slide was extra tight when I was checking it out. As long as he's happy with it--------OK

    4056 TSW

Not by any means an authority on semi-autos but my friend's 4056 TSW has a slide that is very tight and hard to pull back. It's his first handgun and since I'm the one to talk him into getting a CPL, I don't want him to get discouraged. My M&P 40c is like butter compared to his 4056. Any...

    Questions on Model 66

I just discovered my 66-no dash has the hammer "push off" described above. Would it be advisable to send it to S&W to make it right? I have been giving some thought to selling but don"t want to sell any defective firearm.

New member w/ 66 no dash

Feeling much better now. Was having just a little buyers remorse over my purchase today. Originally, I was shopping for reloading supplies and I mentioned to the clerk I was hoping to find a mod 66 one day.Turns out the store had just taken one in the previous week and it was in the back...

    MP40C

I have several "fun guns", large bores and small and one serious work gun. The serious every day carry piece is my M&P .40c. It resides in its Kramer horsehide owb holster. Everyone has a favorite and mine is the M&P. It just plain fits and has never had any kind of a failure. The Kramer is a...

    S&W M&P .40 Compact

The M&P .40c is a perfect fit for me. Haven't experienced laser sights with this gun yet, but the old eyes are kinda suggesting that I seek a little help. Had CT grips on my J-frame but sold it. They did help me quite alot so I feel comfortable in recommending them.

Mod 19-5 to refinish or not

I really appreciate the input---- --- 18DAI--- I have been referred to a smith here in Michigan but have not been to see him or his work as yet.Not sure about sending it out except maybe to S&W. ---jrd1976--- I kinda like your comment about preserving the history and story of the gun by leaving...

Mod 19-5 to refinish or not

Question regarding my 6" combat magnum. About twenty years ago, it was stolen from my house, recovered after 16 years, and returned to me. The bg scratched out the ser. no. on the cylinder yolk but was unaware of the ser. no. also being stamped on the grip frame. The gun was returned in...

Appreciate the replies. It may not ever be called an original but I like the looks.

    Parts swapped on 19-3 ??

Recently I was able to score a very nice 19-3 2.5". The blueing is deep and flawless and the action is as sweet as I think it will get. I'm certainly not complaining, but, the hammer and trigger are polished stainless. Were these possibly swapped from a mod 66? I'm not an expert on these things...

Mod 19-4 Gov. Gun, Interesting Letter

How do you go about getting this letter of history from S&W? I recently picked up an excellent 19-3 w/ 2.5 bbl in a trade. Ser. # 8K87---.

I'm normally not a Ruger guy, but....

I recently purchased a security six w/ 4"bbl. It's a really nice shooter. Rugers are my second choice after the S&W of any flavor.

Hey Y'all, Just traded my last bottom feeder for yet another wheelie. Am very happy with my new (to me) 19-3 snubby. Looking forward to learning more and exchanging thoughts with the members here. Bill (silverking)
