    Dominant eye changing

Thanks guys. As one of you put it I am in my 'sixth decade'. My vision is good. Hate to do it but a trip to the doctor may be in order. Good shooting, 3-Liter

    Dominant eye changing

I have always shot both eyes open with a dominant right eye. Lately I have been having trouble because my right eye is not now dominant. I see two equal targets and I find myself shooting between the two targets with poor results. If I close my left eye to shoot everything goes well, but I...

    Mod 59 Trigger improvements?

I just started shooting an old mod 59 S.N. 695xxx and it has a rough long trigger pull on double action, and a lot of take up on single action. Is there a drop in trigger for this or is it possible to take it to a gunsmith and have the trigger improved? Shooting USPSA Production class...

    Big Thanks on COL info

My post yesterday was answered with good information. I pulled the bullets and loaded some at the correct COL.. P.S. Just used my first cam lock style puller. It worked much better than the old hammer type. Thanks again, 3-Liter

    Too short COL?

Thanks guys. I feel really stupid, I have been using dial calipers for 40 years, but just had a lapse in concentration. I will pull those tonight. Happy Thanksgiving.

    Too short COL?

Loaded some 9mm last night and misread calipers. COL should have been 1.165" and I loaded 1.065". Will these be safe to shoot? I used 147 gr Berrys RN with 4.3 gr Power pistol. Working on a USPSA minor load. Thanks and Happy Turkey Day.

    Ethanol question

Not really wanting to get into a boating discussion on a S&W forum but that has been my business for 32 years so here goes. Try not to use ethanol fuel in outboard engines, 2 strokes see more negative effects than 4 strokes. Do not waste your money on Stabil, it does no good. Talk to your...

    Hornady Customer Service

I just tested Hornady customer service. I just bought a new Lock and Load reloader and broke a piece during assembly [overtightened]. Called Hornady customer service and they offered to send me one free. I explained I broke the piece and it was not a factory defect, but the sent me one free...

    Bending Decapping Pins- part 2

Thanks much guys. I de-primed over 200 rounds this morning without a problem. I have sorted cases carefully and trashed any with a head stamp I do not know. Now using Hornady One Shot case lube, set the decapping pin much shallower, and use a slower stroke on press. I sometimes have to cycle...

    Bending Decapping Pins- part 2

You guys may have helped me find the cause. I noticed the cases that were hardest to size and de-prime were brass cases. Most of mine were nickle S&W once fired cases, but I remembered I bought some brass cases at a gun show. It turns out some of these cases have unusual head stamps. The...

    Bending decapping pins

All once fired cases, mostly S&W. Happened on 4-6 different cases. I am a mechanic by trade and I have looked for anything that is not lined up correctly and found nothing. I know you cannot do much without seeing the loader but I was just hoping for an answer. Thank you, 3-Liter

    Bending decapping pins

I just started reloading again after 25+ years. Using a RCBS Rock Chucker single stage press with lyman carbide dies[same one I used years ago without ever breaking a pin]. Loading 38 Special and I am bending the decapping pins. The first one I guessed was not aligning the case properly in...

    Ok you long range shooters

COOL game, 82 on the first time. Not smart enough to calculate by using the MOA settings on the scope but did much better with 'Kentucky windage'.

    Need Holster for Mod 59

I need to know which holster will work with my Mod 59 S&W. I see many for M&P, 5906, or other models, but not just a 59. Looking for one for USPSA Production division. Serial number on gun is A695XXX. Any help would be appreciated. 3-Liter

    I am addicted

"Did it rust?" No, I oiled everything well before I put it up. There was a small amount of surface rust on one gun that was in a leather holster but nothing bad. "Did the political situation 20 years ago make me stop shooting?" No, the current political situation made me start shooting again...

    I am addicted

I quit shooting about 20 years ago and closed the gun safe. With the political situation now I decided to start shooting again. I may have started shooting again for the wrong reasons, but I am having a lot of fun. The local club shoots USPSA and I am hooked. 3-Liter

    I am addicted

Opened my gun safe for the first time in 20 years because of the political climate. Went to a local range and saw a USPSA 3 Gun match and it looked like a blast. Shot a handgun only match and I was hooked. Now looking at equipment, holsters, and new guns. 3-Liter
