UPDATE Ruger SR1911 Disassembly vs Owner's Manual

I've always been enamored of mechanical/electrical stuff. When I was about 9-10 walking home from school (also did that in 2 feet of snow, around 1949) I spotted a thing in the grass with coils of copper wire, contacts, and other bits mounted on a black metal plate,. I picked it up and when I...

    Josh Bossart holster

I just received a holster from Josh for my new-to-me 19-3. I wanted quality but not flashy, sort of old fashioned if you will. Josh finished it old style with saddle oil and wax. Didn't want it to be too plain so I had him add Cheyenne style lines to it. Whatcha think?

    Schofield clone

I had been wanting a top-break revolver for a while, saw this Beretta Laramie, said I didn't care that it wasn't the real thing nor even a really close copy but it would do for my purposes. I do wonder if there is someone familiar with both that could tell me at least at a high level what the...

    New to me 19-3

Just copycatting...I never knew why that was anyhow. I suppose one could report that such and such a model with such and such a serial number was stolen (to whom I wouldn't know) and possibly cause a headache or two but I suspect that possibility is so far down in the noise level probably not...

    New to me 19-3

Yeah...I kind of thought the previous owner did that because he was displaying it rather than shooting it and thought maybe the filled in lettering enhanced the curb appeal? Anyone know the best way to remove the filler without damaging the blueing? SN is K7109xx

    New to me 19-3

Bought off of Gunbroker, I know I paid more than the going price but that's OK in this case because while not a collector, it was in the condition I wanted and I went for the buy it now price because I didn't want to miss out. I am curious though, on what the max you experts out there would have...
