If things get bad and things get worse this is my plan. Please comment on my weapons and tell us yours

Here in St Petersburg I have .22 rifle, don't need more as government will protect us if Nemetskiy return.. More concerned about starvation than guns, so food is priority like 1941-45. God bless great Tovarishch Stalin!

model 28-2 said to be rare

Ive got a nice 28-2 in very clean condition which I bought to have as a carry gun esp in the woods- as opposed to dinging up my Python. I don't wince when shooting serious mag loads, as I would with the Python. Besides I just like a Smith revolver :)

    Ka Bar style knifes

I hear ya on the KaBar.. guess I was 19 when i traded in my kid hunting knife for a Ka-Bar. Kabar traveled with me for awhile and then on the advice of friends traded it in for the Buck General 120. Wish Ida kept that KaBar, in hindsight. Oh, I got 40 years out of the Buck, no sweat. When the...

    Victory Model Holster

For RVN service... did anyone use a shoulder (under the arm pit) holster? For either 1911, .38? Ive got a holster that's looks like for a larger. Victory model fits nicely but looks like being for a larger revolver.. ? It came with a dirty tan canvas .38 shell "belt" that slides onto the...

What guns have you regreted selling?

I do regret selling my S&W Airweight (Vietnam era) and the 66 I coveted for many years, finally got at a somewhat inflated price- and finally sold due to never using it- because it isnt made for the pounding of heavy handloads.

    4" or 6"

4" v 6" 357. I like shooting a 6" .357 with stoked loads to squeeze out every possible bit of energy. More powder burnt IN the barrel and not so much in the muzzle flash. YMMV

Is there a Python Bubble about to burst?

Had I known THEN what I now know about Pythons, it would have stayed in my safe, in the box, unfired! It's still in fine condition but the box and original grips seem to have walked off. My 4" Smith 28 does everything I need a .357 to do.

    Quick price check on 28-2

Sounds like you did alright. Maybe get some hogues instead. This is a beefy .357 made to be fired! Good luck!

    "New" 28-2

Have a friend with the luck of the Irish sometimes. Was "pawn-shopping" and found a 28-2 in near new shape with a barely a rub around the muzzle. N536XXX. No cylinder-ring or scratches. A barely noticable scrape on the right S&W wood grip. No cylinder waggle, no rattles when shaken. Guy paid...

    What if S&W had a make-your-own-revolver program?

A .41 Special on a K-frame. 4 inch preferably. Not sure if the cylinder could be fattened or not.. 6 in the .41 spec would work for me! Being a "special" and not a mag would keep the pressures way down I would think.

    Bodyguard revolver

.357magger sez: Actually , the joke is on me. She claimed it for her own, had me hunt down some girly pearl grips, and has it in her purse as of today. I sez: Boy-howdy do I know that one! Lost a very nice 3 inch J-frame .38 that way. Girlly-pearly grips and all!

    Detroit PD gun picture thread?!!!!

I was born in DeTROIT in the early 1950's, and it was a much different place than it has become today. It was Motor City long before it became Motown. I moved far away before the riots began but still have kin there. The pics of the police revolvers are interesting to look at. Would like to get...
