I've actually looked into everything from the Miata to the Toyota 4Runner. 4Runner, Forester, etc makes more sense to most people, but I like the casket/cockpit/personal space/go-cart feel of a small car.

Kind of like some Subaru's, but I'll admit I'm kind of scared of their reliability, and there are not many dealers around. With Toyota and Honda, there are several dealers, and one of each about 10 miles from my house. Local Honda place was great when it came to having the Civic I had serviced.
