    What Does This Mean?

Hello all...I was reading up on my 19-4 and there was a statement that I don't quite understand. It read in part, "...changed the gas ring from the yoke to the cylinder." What is a gas ring and did it improve the revolver by moving it from the yoke to the cylinder? Thanks...

Do I Really Need a Fancy Aftermarket Sear and Spring Kits?

The aftermarket world is a big one: Do I NEED this fancy thing, or do I NEED that fancy thing to make my handgun shoot "better?" Wilson Combat manufactures high quality and strict tolerance sears, springs, hammers, etc...to replace your existing, or stock, internal parts. My question is: are...

I'm Not buying another gun! Dang, I bought another gun.

I can relate: I don't know how many times I've said, "This is it. I've got all the guns I need." But, what do I do next? I innocently browse gunbroker.com and...BAM!! I gotta have this one but that's all; no more. Yesterday, I bought a wonderful S&W Model 14-3 Target .38. I don't know when it...

Over The Counter Target Ammo Problems?

Thanks for the input...my Springfield 1911 Micro Compact is new (50-75 rounds) and perhaps, needs to be fired more to "break" it in. I'm not limp-wristing it either. Nonetheless, I'm glad to hear that Walmart target ammo (Winchester and Remington) hasn't given you guys fits and is relatively...

Over The Counter Target Ammo Problems?

Hello all... Just a quick question: as we all know, the price of ammo is long past the stratosphere . So, I've been scooping up Winchester and Remington .45 ACP ball ammo every chance I get. The cheapest place I've found the target ammo is at, wait for it, Walmart. I hate Walmart but their...

Have you ever done this to a gun?

You know...I'm a sucker for a two-tone finish on anything; and I love matte colors. I like how you kept the hammer, trigger, and ejection rod in their original state, really makes it pop. I agree with most of the guys on here about a "proper" finish when the time comes, but in the interim...

    M625 - 4in or 5in barrel?

I hate the locks, but that's just me. The "purists" do their best to stay away from the lock. You do have a tough decision though...

Loading Moon Clips and the 625 JM

I guess I should have asked this question in my first post but one of the pictures in this thread made me think of it now: are their differences between the moon clips themselves. i.e. steel, alloy, composite (if made), etc...?

    625 JM

Hello...I just purchased mine a few weeks ago from Gander Mountain (Texas Panhandle) for $980. I think your price sounds very good to me at least. I plan on having some "work" done on it, but as it stands now, it honestly does have a very nice action. I personally like mine a lot and will learn...

Loading Moon Clips and the 625 JM

Hello everybody...I was wanting to know what is the "easiest" way to load and unload steel moon clips (.45ACP). I recently bought the 625 JM and it came with five steel moon clips. I loaded one with some personal defense rounds just to check it out, and now, I find it impossible to unload it...
