Trying to help a widow friend value her late husband's Pre 17, 6" 5 screw .22LR. It has target stocks and is in about 85% condition. Ser# is 54,000 range. How old is this pistol and what real value would you put on it. Any help is appreciated. Jeff

From what I understand, Uncle Mikes and Spegel couldn't see eye to eye and since these grips were Spegel designs, Uncle Mikes could no longer produce them. Anyway, they have been out of production for several years.
