    Rear Sight Questions...

I want to switch out to 10-8 Plain rear sight and use it with the standard already installed night sight. Does the 10-8 work with the front NIGHT SIGHT? I know it is designed to work with the standard front sight. S&W M&P Rear Sight - 10-8 Performance Store Also: CAN I knock off the rear...

Mine already has the thumb safety, but the SMALL sear spring hole. So... the 9mm IS different from the 45?

    9 vs 45 Sear Housing???

Are they indeed different? Everyone sells the 9mm/40 one, but I only see a different one at Brownells here: SEAR HOUSING BLOCK ASSEMBLY, NMS, MAG SAF | Brownells Cannot find it on Midway... I ask, because I was unlucky enough to buy a new MP 45 back in August which was manufactured in 2010...

    Getting rid of the grit!

As the thread became captive to people who ignored 'my requirement' to NOT take off the rear sight to get at the plunger and hole... - The plunger IS definitely part of the problem. - However, you can smooth the grittiness out by simply polishing the TOP of the trigger bar which engages the...

    Getting rid of the grit!

Rather than knocking off the sights (mine are tritium) and getting to the plunger for a polish job, has anyone tried simply leaking some flitz into the plunger cavity then pulling the trigger hundreds of times to polish the plunger/cavity, then thoroughly flushing the cavity out? Thanks.

    Shield 9 vs 9c

The armor thing is tough, but... If you hit him even 2-3 times at close range, he is OFF his mark, and likely overwhelmed if not on the ground reeling from a bruised or broken rib. Then, while dazed, its a much easier head shot - or groin, or both. It could be done with 3-4 shots. Easier...

Wierd mag problem m&p 9 FS

Took a new MP out to the range yesterday. Accuracy at 25 yards was ok. I need to get used to the trigger. But, I took only two mags. One came with the pistol, and another I bought on-line. One would not drop free at the range. It was cold at the range. When I got the gun back at the home...

    Stippled Back Strap advice...

I like my new MP9, but want a more agressive backstrap. These sound/look good: http://smith-wessonforum.com/accessories-misc-sale-trade/240006-wts-m-p-stippled-backstraps-frames.html Which style gives you a fairly aggressive texturing - I LIKE my Gen 4 Glock texturing. Thanks.

    TUNING the thumb safety

Thanks. OK - so it's tunable? Has anyone done it to good effect. I ask, because if I install a hard sear and get a 4.25 trigger pull, a safety would not be a bad idea. One of my objections to the PPQ, is that yes, it has a wonderful crisp light trigger, BUT for a weapon with no manual...

    TUNING the thumb safety

I really dom't see how removing plastic in the slotakes it harder. It would make it even looser. I guess that I'd it's lose it's lose

    TUNING the thumb safety

I like the thumb safety and MAY use it for an excuse for a hard sear and a lighter pull. However, it seems way too easy to flick on and off to be a really useful thumb safety. CAN the thumb safety be tuned - to be harder to switch on/off? Thanks.

    Buyer Beware -Quantico Tactical.

I don't have time for small claims, etc. Too busy. I NORMALLY check all this stuff out closely. The reason I would not jump on a $400 9mm with 3 mags is because I really cannot check the barrel to slide fit at this shop. I thought the trigger was good enough and did not even suspect it would...

    Buyer Beware -Quantico Tactical.

It is strange just how strange the staff is about their firearms. Without boring with details, the staff doesn't seem to know much about firearms, and contradicts themselves, as in the case of the mags on this purchase. I'll clean and shoot, as the MP 45's seem to be about the best of the line.
