I just received an e-mail telling me my pistol is on the way back with a tracking FedEx tracking number. Looks like they are getting better at keeping the customer updated on repairs and return shipping. Way to go S&W! Ed

The tritium insert came out of the front sight. S&W wanted me to send it back in to be fixed. From what I understand, not an unusual problem with SD's.. Ed

On it's way back to S&W via FedEx. It seems the FedEx small laptop shipping box is just the right size for a Plano single pistol case. Now I wait.... Ed

I have the return label to ship my pistol back to S&W, and my question is how is the best way to pack the pistol? Do you use one box, box in a box? In a pistol bag in a box? I know I am probably over thinking this. :rolleyes: Just looking for some advice from someone who has done it. Thanks, Ed

I came back from the range tonight and was cleaning my gun when I found my tritium night sight insert was gone. I guess it fell out? Anyone else ever had this issue? So do I call S&W and they send me a new one, or does the pistol have to go back to S&W? Ed

My Pachmayr Grip-Glove came in today. Very nice! The one for the M&P fits perfect on the SD9. Thanks Chuck1217 for the tip on the grip. Ed

Sounds like the Apex spring kit is a must do for my SD9. The aluminum trigger will also be a must have. Any ideas on price? Great stuff here in the forums! Ed

I see there are people out there with the same issues as I have wearing bifocals. I think I will start looking for a laser for my SD9. Any thoughts on one for SD9? Ed

Thanks guys! Well it looks like I will give it a couple of hundred more rounds and see how it goes. If it still is an issue I will send it back to S&W for a tune up. Other than that I love the SD9! Ed
