    OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

Not much luck with the app in the Denver area. Had one associate tell me there's a 24 hour delay in the information it receives. Not sure if that's true, but the guy seemed to believe what he was saying.

Which backstrap insert do you use??

I like the large grip. My hands are average, but it gives me more area for the palm of the support hand to cover. I use the 360 grip I've seen in videos referenced by other members and the large seems to help me implement that best.

Any one elses m&P 9 look like this

I read in another thread that the Take Down Lever (TDL) is pulling it out of position during the field strip.

M&P take down lever, anyone talked to Smith about this?

Interesting topic here and on related threads. What's occurring internally with the take down lever? I understand the end result as far as field stripping and assembly go. I don't know a lot of the terminology, so if someone would explain it in layman's terms that would help.

Where do you guys buy your ammo online?

Maybe obvious to most, but why do ammo supplies fluctuate? I use common 9mm 115 grain FMJ and am having difficulty finding favorite brands in the local shops.

The Shooter Not The Gun - In This Case

clockworkjon, that's a great video for me. Now I understand the 360 degree grip concept. I can see gaps in my current grip that would allow the barrel to move low and left. Think I'll look into that video series. The local range also has a marksmanship course I'll be getting on the list for.

The Shooter Not The Gun - In This Case

The squeeze I'm talking about (not sure of correct terminology) is me tightening the pinkie finger (at least) of the hand on the gun grip in anticipation of the shot. I'm seeing in dry shooting that this does dip the barrel 1/4 inch or so. I think I have an idea to overcome it. Will also work...

The Shooter Not The Gun - In This Case

I definitely agree about grip and trigger control. I'll work on that 'perfect practice makes perfect' concept. Will also print the chart and take it to the range with me. Actually got a GripMaster last week and enjoy messing with it at work and stop lights. The mind knows what it...

The Shooter Not The Gun - In This Case

I’m enjoying my first handgun purchase – the M&P 9mm. In fact, I’d never even shot a handgun before taking the basic safety course at the local range and couldn’t have been more excited when my first round hit the bull’s eye. Second shot threw me until I realized it went through the same hole...

    M&P 9mm inherent accuracy problems?

dougb1946, why did switching to the large grip help you? I'm a new shooter with the M&P 9mm as my first handgun. I shoot low left. (The gun shoots what it's aimed at.) I'm working on the basics (grip and trigger management at the moment) and had not given any consideration to grip size.

    Thanks, tgmorris99, that's exactly what I needed.

    S&W M&P 9mm - Lubrication

The S&W M&P 9mm is my first handgun and I have a question about lubrication. The manual, in Figure 24 on p. 23, describes 7 lubrication points. They're all straight forward except for #3 (as shown in the figure). From some online browsing, it looks like this area contains the sear housing block...
