You didn not say where you was going to mount it, exactly. Are you going to mount it on the rail somewhere or, are you thinking about drilling thru the scope itself ? If you are thinking about drilling thru the scope body, it will ruin the scope.

One person I know of had a similiar problem. When cleaning, he discovered his firing pin had broken. He would get some fires then it got worse, just like yours. Hope this helps.
