I like a dedicated 22LR upper. It's cleaner and better groups than the people using a CMMG 566 chamber insert. The 556 twist rate is wrong for a 22LR not to mention the crud that gets stuck in the gas port, tube and carrier key.

I still recommend people fit there own triggers. Many SS makers still over round the triggers. People should only round the left side of their trigger just enough to barely fit the SS cam. Don't use the 3D printed jigs.

The SS works easiest with low shelf. High shelf just means a little material needs to be removed from behind the selector. Can be done with Dremel, where the broken parts are yellow pointer, behind the selector in the pic. Needs: Full auto carrier H3 buffer Mil spec trigger and hammer

A FRT and binary trigger is not the same thing. Binary triggers work with the 15-22. I'm personally not a fan of binary triggers so I can not tell you which ones. A Forced Reset Trigger does not currently work with the 15-22, yet. I think a Super safety is possible. There is a few people that...

I checked the 5 replacement mags and the 10 new mags I got from Joe Bob Outfitters and there are problems with 3+ more. My 13 yr old Son can't insert or remove the mags without effort. The new mags are too wide and needs to have material removed from the seams to fit the magwell. :mad:
