    645 or 1911 ???

I prefer the 645 hands down, never owned a 1911.

    S&W 645: .45 ACP

Oh I agree with you 100%. Better than a 1911 by far. It makes for a cool picture though. Cheers.

    Frame Evolution

Thanks for clearing that up, I bought some but have never used them before. Im pretty sure they would feed reliably in the Glock, just haven't gotten around to testing it yet. Little buggers are expensive, im not really in a hurry to shoot them just yet. Mine are the 135 grain:

    Frame Evolution

From one of the last all steel framed S&W 645's to the Polymer Glock switch-over. One big difference...ammo capacity. Yes the .45 ACP has more "stopping power." But with 17+1 on tap of 9mm hydroshock hollow-points...does it really matter? I don't know about you, but 17+1 sure feels a lot...

    S&W 645: .45 ACP

Interesting..on yours the upper part of the frame is also a polished stainless finish. I think mine might be a dual finish because of the satin finish on the frame.

    S&W 645: .45 ACP

Its in Round Rock, TX, about ten miles north of the State Capitol. They moved recently to a better location off of I-35. That 645 wasn't going to last long I am glad I jumped on it when I did. Cheers.

    ProMag for 645 Reliable?

Well guys I don't know what to tell you but I put twenty rounds through the ProMag and not one jam. The 645 was designed so well I guess it compensated for ProMag's issue with magazine design flaws. The ProMag worked great, and the best part is it was inexpensive. I was using Blazer steel...

    Just got a old 41

Just by looking at it and not knowing anything about it I would say at least $400. Looks like the ultimate target pistol with the long slide and the fact that its American made and rare will make it worth more.

    ProMag for 645 Reliable?

Mec Gar discontinued the 645/745 Magazines and retailers are all sold out. Google has nothing on them as far as retail information. Since the ProMag is half the price of a factory magazine and carries two extra round its might be worth ordering one. If it doesn't work cant I just refund it...

    ProMag for 645 Reliable?

Been checking out magazines since I only have two eight-rounders. Looks like Promag makes and extended ten round magazine for .45 ACP. They are kinda pricey so I wanted to know if anyone has had any luck with them, or should I just pay more for factory magazines?

    Enough to make you cry

You could get that rust off easy with some 400 grit wet/dry sand paper. Then I would spray auto-primer on it to keep it from rusting any further. It wouldn't hurt to call S&W customer service either to have them give it look-over before you fire it. You could put a nice set of Hogue grips on...

    S&W 645: .45 ACP

According to Wikipedia, which is not really a reliable source yet still considered common knowledge; "there is pretty much zero difference." They are still officially both second generation pistols according to S&W. The 745 was special model "The S&W 645 was introduced in 1985 and...
