After a long week of waiting it finally arrived home. The 645 I acquired to add to the family. It's my first 45 and I am excited to finally have her home. Hope the pictures work, its my first time adding pics. Won't be able to get to the range any time soon however. I fell and broke my knee and will be heading off to the Ortho doc Monday to find out when surgery will be scheduled. Right now I am confined to bed so no range time. :(

I to have a 645, I absolutely Love the gun. It is bar none my favorite gun. It shoots perfect, even better than my 1911. Once you shoot a 45 you will not like the other rounds near as much. My 645 feels good in the hands and eats everything. Sorry to hear about you're leg, as for right now clean her up good and just day dream about it. Good Luck !

Sorry to hear about your knee. When you get to my age you are happy if you still have your originals. The 645 is a tank of a weapon, and just may be the best and most reliable 45 ACP around. I know it is the most reliable 45 I have ever used, too bad it is so damn heavy.......

I've had my 645 since about 1988. It's one that my heirs will get to sell.

I have a couple of 645's

I bought one back in 1988 and liked it so much that I ordered another. I've only shot about 50 rounds through each but love them. They fit into the Bianchi nylon 1911 holsters (the military style with the flap) and I carried two at one time while 3 wheeling in the Alaska bush. The holsters protected them against weather (usually raining) branches and mud. Now they hang in the safe next to the other S&W guns. These guns fit my hand better than any other autos. When my kids are old enough I'm going to give one to each. The double action .45 is a much better design than the 1911 IMHO.

Yep I've been fondling it since it arrived. It fits & feels real nice in my hand and has some serious weight so Iam expecting the kick to be minimal. I've shot a Taurus Judge (45 Long Colt) and a 1911 .45 and the kick isn't bad at all.

Next up on the acquisition board is a 4506 or something similar. It's like I have a disease or something..... ;)

Yes, it is a disease! I have a 645 and love it, it came between a 4513 and a 4506. All super guns. Jim.

There are 2 must have guns on my list the 645 and a 952 stainless.. I`ve been looking for a while but nothing yet ...enjoy your 645 it`s a great gun...

Congrats on the 645, Ive got one also and think its great. Hope you get well soon.

Congrats on the 645!! Great pistol.

I'm on my second one. I had to sell the first to feed the divorce attorney. This second one isn't going anywhere.

I have Pachmyar grips on mine. Last time I qualified with it I shot expert. I'm thinking of sending it off to Novaks for a trigger job and a little updating. I'm kind of torn though. The 645 is about as good as it gets, as is.

Enjoy yours! Hope your knee heals up soon! Best regards, 18DAI
