Nice work, very clean with excellent stitching. I have made a few, but finally started using a dremel for stitching as my aren't so neat.
Thanks,
Taking time, with an awl two needle and a waxed thread, you can do good stitching.

francoisallais, very nice work! Did you design the holsters also, and make the patterns?
Tandy leather sells an excellent book on holster making, and has all the supplies you will need.
Thanks,
Unfortunately in France the law forbids the wearing of guns inside holster or not, except at home, or at the range, and in that case, if the rules of it allows.
We cannot use our revolver for defense. If you do you are sure to end up in court.
I live on a farm in rural South Carolina. It is legal to carry a handgun here and law enforcement actually encourages it. I mainly carry a revolver for shooting coyotes and armadillos. Your half flap holster looks perfect for carrying a 686 on the tractor or four wheeler.
If you can't use a firearm for self defense in France, how does your government suggest a citizen do that?
BTW, I have visited your country twice and found it very nice and restaurant cooking to be excellent.
Thanks,

France is renowned for being the country of the sweetness of life
But this was certainly "before"...
Now we have troubles in large towns, in relation with fight between bands that sells drugs and want to preserves their territories, where police fears to go, what leads to make of these territories lawless lands.
Faces this, the French citizens have only right to be kild as sheeps. Its really what often happens.
If you decide to use a weapon to protect yourself or your family, and hurt or kill the agressor, you finish in front of court and generally you are condamned to jail.
That is France today.
Sorry to hear that. That is what we are trying to avoid happening here.

I am very sorry to hear this. Perhaps this will change for the better in your country.
I am 72 years old but when I was five, I lived in Nancy for three very nice years. My wife and I have visited France and enjoyed the people and the culture. While I like Italian wines a great deal, a good Bordeaux is truly wonderful.
Thank you for this thread. I have enjoyed it a lot.
I hope you become a regular here.
Your english is a lot better than my French. When I was a little boy living in your country I actually learned French. My mother used me to translate during her interactions at the market. Unfortunately my French is all gone now.
