Homemade holster to dress my S&W models 22-4 and 10-8

francoisallais, very nice work! Did you design the holsters also, and make the patterns?

Thanks,

Each holster I made , I have designed and made the pattern to meet exactly the result I wanted to reach.

The method is rather easy to learn on Youtube and with the practice you make your own.

Thanks,
Unfortunately in France the law forbids the wearing of guns inside holster or not, except at home, or at the range, and in that case, if the rules of it allows.
We cannot use our revolver for defense. If you do you are sure to end up in court.

I live on a farm in rural South Carolina. It is legal to carry a handgun here and law enforcement actually encourages it. I mainly carry a revolver for shooting coyotes and armadillos. Your half flap holster looks perfect for carrying a 686 on the tractor or four wheeler.

If you can't use a firearm for self defense in France, how does your government suggest a citizen do that?

BTW, I have visited your country twice and found it very nice and restaurant cooking to be excellent.

I see that you have good taste in cooking matter :D

France is renowned for being the country of the sweetness of life

But this was certainly "before"...

Now we have troubles in large towns, in relation with fight between bands that sells drugs and want to preserves their territories, where police fears to go, what leads to make of these territories lawless lands.

Faces this, the French citizens have only right to be kild as sheeps. Its really what often happens.

If you decide to use a weapon to protect yourself or your family, and hurt or kill the agressor, you finish in front of court and generally you are condamned to jail.

That is France today.

Don't you guys have BBQ's over there?

Are all French people artists?

Sorry to hear that. That is what we are trying to avoid happening here.

France is the country of "Adminitration" with a lot of people (about 6 million - ie 10% of the population) working to manage and control the application of the law, what minimize your real freedom and responsability, mainly if you come from the lowest assited social classes to whom are found many excuses to exonerate them from their misdeeds and crimes.

I am very sorry to hear this. Perhaps this will change for the better in your country.

I am 72 years old but when I was five, I lived in Nancy for three very nice years. My wife and I have visited France and enjoyed the people and the culture. While I like Italian wines a great deal, a good Bordeaux is truly wonderful.

Nancy is one of our most beautifull towns, and we have many in France that became what they are throught the history of our country. Paris the greatest, where a large part of our history has been decided.

I also love Italian towns, mainly Florence, and the region of lakes (Garda, Carezza...). If Genrmany is the great country of musicians, Italian the coruntry of Painters, France is the country of Philosophe, litterature and gatronomy (that could be our first skill...)

But USA is larger country were spaces of wild still exists opening mind to freedom and adventure, what we have lost in our old courntries of Europe. Perhaps a reason why we like Middle age novels when the Northmens conquered a great part of the known world of this time (I live in Nomrandy and have Danish ancesters). They even went in North America trought the greenland.

Your english is a lot better than my French. When I was a little boy living in your country I actually learned French. My mother used me to translate during her interactions at the market. Unfortunately my French is all gone now.

I learnt english at school for about 10 years and spoke at job for about 35 years - I built Crewboats for offshore rigs located Africa. Everybody around was speaking English, even my clients who were French.

Tioday I'm retired and its realy a pleasure for me to go on to speak or write English when I can.

English language allows to go quickly to the essential, on contrary of Franche language.

In front of a beautiful landscape, English man says "Waouh" when French man feels to be obliged to make a long speech...

Perhaps why we have great literary authors like Proust who wrote 7 volumes (2400 pages) for "in search of lost time" where he explains how he remebers the taste of a "madeleine" (a small, typically French cake).

I never succeed to read the 2400 pages :D

Francoisallais' English is better than many of the US posters on this forum! :D
