Welcome from Arizona
Thanks Ulrich.
I live in Cherbourg in the Cotentin and during the D-day commemoration the region is visited by people coming from all over the world, celebrating the peace.
Welcome in Normandy
Welcome to the forum! I hope you continue enjoying your hobby!

I amazes me that the Information Age can bring people from all over the globe together for a common passion. I just wish sometimes I had those U.N. earphones.
Welcome Francois !
We visited France a few years ago on a River cruise, Paris to Normandy. When we arrived in Normandy we were pleasantly surprised to see the many French school children visiting the area, learning about the sacrifices so many made.Nice to meet a cousin!
The maiden name of my granmother paternal side was Neel. I have danish blood in my veins.
When I visited the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville Sur Mer I have been greatly moved, and for a long moment I remains silencious thinking to these young guys who died so far from their home. We, French people, have toward them a duty of memory.
Thanks for welcoming
