WOW Thank you all for your help. Here answers to some of the questions I have been asked. Yes the grips are SN# to the gun, the frount sight looks silver so it may be stainless. the rear sight just says (patents pending) I al so have in my shop a S&W K-22 SN# K128807 in 99% and a K-38 k320745...

I just got a S&W K22 SN# 684330 called Smith and was told it was a K22 Masterpiece made in 1940. Can anyone tell me if I have a $1900 gun or one of the $ 500 ones. No Box (darn) see pictures
