    Interesting Quote

I seen this quote somewhere but can't remember where Maybe you seen or read it somewhere "If you want your children to follow in your footsteps, be careful where you walk. Beware the man that only owns one gun; he probably knows how to use it. I just hope my ship comes in before my dock rots."

    A little more Humor

Passed on to me by a friend in a varmint forum. Here's a prairie dog that has an apparent M&P. He can get angry if you make him mad.

A few pictures of my toys

This is my 617-6 10 shot and my 686-6 .357. I like the round butt Hogues I installed, and I completed the Plugs installation on both. I put a pic of my Ruger Vaquero, in .45, with rosewood grips.

    Yoke screw broke

A foolish thing to do. Upon assembling my S&W 617-6, I over tightened the yoke screw, and it broke in halve, were it's coated with a red thread locker. It wasn't too much trouble to insert a small screwdriver into the lower half of the broken screw to remove it. I feel real lucky for that...

Does anybody talk about S&W with the trigger lock

It seems to me, that unless I own older S&W revolvers with out the trigger lock, no one seems to say much about the new model 686 Combat Masterpiece, or the 10 shot 617. I really would like some one out there, that has any ideas on the trigger locks, or removal, to give some input. I posted that...

What do you use to cover your work bench?

What do you use on the bench to cover it when cleaning, etc? I found that the pet training pads are very reasonable. The are super absorbent, with one side plastic, other side soft white pad. I like it when cleaning and working on a firearm, the pad catches anything, pins, springs, crud, and...

    Help on 617

I got the problem solved. It took my 8 power headset and lights to see what I was doing wrong. Even though you do something you did many times over the years, your eyes can deceive you, and make you think like How did I do this? Well all is fine now, I may as well go shooting now.

    Removing scratches on stainless 627

Try Micro- Mesh Micro-mesh finishing abrasive kit. It contains grits 9 grits from 1500 to 12,000. The 12,000 will leave a scratch pattern that cannot be detected by the human eye. Try http://www.sisweb.com/micromesh/mmr_sheets.htm

    Help on 617

Dropped out the spring from the cylinder advance arm, but having a heck of a time getting to work right. I can't seen to get in in place to spring load the pawl, to advance the cylinder. This is the new model 617 with the lock, and no firing pin in hammer.

    Put a 617 on layaway

You will enjoy it more than you think. I got my new 617 6"bbl 10 shot yesterday. It replaces the one I, STUPIDLY, traded away, 3 yrs ago. It was a 617 6 shot. I shoot calibri's in the garage when I can't get out to the range. I still shoot my MKIII, but the 617 is more fun. Congratulations on a...
