Read all of this thread. Good grief! I have a 9mm Shield, a 40c, and a 45c in my MP collection. I carry them all depending on what I am wearing. I can carry my 45c for 12 hours no problem because I have a great gun belt and a comptac minotaur for it's holster. If you have the right holster...

The logical reason for the shield being less that a compact is that there is less material in a shield. It's thinner. The unicorn mags are smaller, etc. That is my assumption. And they can take business from Ruger.

Shoot them all. It doesn't matter. I shoot anything and everything out of mine. No problems.

You can find them, you have to call around and keep your eye on the forums as to where they are available. Great weapon! That 290 isn't a slouch either. Im also a pretty big sig fan:)
