    Shield break in

Most 1911s need a break in. M&P's, Glocks, Sigs, etc: shoot them. If you need to put a couple hundred rounds down range to build your confidence in the gun, so be it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    .40 or .45?

I've got 9s, 40s, and 45s. I do like shooting 45 the best. Don't let the word snappy keep you from a 40 either. It's really not a lot different from a 9 or a 45 for me. Everyone is different though. I carry all three at different times. They will all do the job if the situation...

    M&P Shield Machining Marks

None of my M&P's look like that. If it bothers you, or if the bore is horrible, let SW deal with it. Things like this happen with all manufacturers. Yours is the first I have heard or seen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Shield or Compact??

Also, they are all fine shooters. I personally haven't shot a 40 shield, but have shot many 40's of that size. My 40c doesn't kick that much more than my 9 shield and is about the same as my 45c. Maybe it's just me, but there really isn't that big a difference in kick. I understand that the...

    Shield or Compact??

Read all of this thread. Good grief! I have a 9mm Shield, a 40c, and a 45c in my MP collection. I carry them all depending on what I am wearing. I can carry my 45c for 12 hours no problem because I have a great gun belt and a comptac minotaur for it's holster. If you have the right holster...

Why is the Shield so cheap?

The logical reason for the shield being less that a compact is that there is less material in a shield. It's thinner. The unicorn mags are smaller, etc. That is my assumption. And they can take business from Ruger.

Aluminum cases-Are they OK for M&P Shield?

Shoot them all. It doesn't matter. I shoot anything and everything out of mine. No problems.

Pic of my small M&P family

I might be adding a SW 500. Just had a friend ask if I wanted to buy his. I could fit those three in the footprint of the 500.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M&P .45 review

Just picked up my new 45c yesterday. It's test fire date was sept 2008. Trigger is smooth! I have other M&P's and have had to do some work on them to get the trigger smooth. The 45c has eaten 150 rounds so far of 3 different types of ammo without a hiccup. I couldn't be more pleased! Here's a...

Friend bought his first pistol today

You can find them, you have to call around and keep your eye on the forums as to where they are available. Great weapon! That 290 isn't a slouch either. Im also a pretty big sig fan:)

I hadn't really compared them before this photo. I find it interesting that the shield looks about the same size as the 40c. It's a little shorter in barrel length. Definitely thinner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    NIB 2008 45c with a smooth trigger?

I just found a 45c after a week of looking online and calling around. Found it at a Gander Mtn. I own a couple MP handguns and am used to the initial gritty trigger. I dryfired this gun at the store a few times and to my surprise, the trigger was very smooth and crisp! I looked at the test...
