I got a new S&W SDve and I must have all the up-grades!

Yeah, purchasing an SD, then going on an Internet shopping free to upgrade it completely defeats the purpose of it in the first place. 100% stock here.

Bought SD40VE, retuning it for a Glock.

Bummer. I love my SD9VE and have had outstanding results with several types of ammo. Good luck with Glock. :)

SD9 VE slide won't come off rails.

Excellent story, thanks for sharing that. It definitely hits home. A buddy and I were sighting in our shotguns one year for Ohio gun season. Now, I'm an archer and have always been one when it comes to hunting whitetail deer, but I was around 19 or 20 years old and had just purchased a brand...

I can't remain quiet any longer!

I agree, brother. It's like buying a subcompact car, then b*tching and moaning that it only fits 4 comfortably, and not six. You knew this ahead of time, Einstein! Spot on.

    Do you practice dry fire?

Yep, I do. Not very often, but when I do it's generally around a couple of dozen or so dry fires. It really helped me not only grow accustom to the trigger, but helped me appreciate it too.

    SD40VE any good?

Only if you go Back to the Future. ;)

    SD40VE any good?

Yeah, it seems every forum in every corner of the Internet with a post regarding a gun and it's price will invariably have that one guy who feels he has to recommend spending another $100.00 for the _______ gun. Hey guys, I'm thinking of dropping 25hundred on a new custom Dan Wesson...

    SD40VE any good?

I'd be willing to bet 90% of those "not so good reviews" are reviews are from ppl that have never even touched the SD9VE. That's the problem with the Internet; anyone can sound like an expert while actually being utterly clueless. It's a good gun. I'm impressed with it. In fact, I was...

How does your SD9 brass look?

I've only shot one kind of ammo so far through my SD9VE, but the brass always appear perfect.

    9mm ammo?

I've been using cheap Bosnian Tulammo BrassMax in 100 count tubs from WalMart for $23.99 with nearly flawless success thus far (9mm). I did have one FTF somewhere between the 15-20th round the first time shooting the gun, however, now several hundred rounds later it's been flawless.

    Anyone else love the .22LR?

I love the 22 lr. I purchased this Taurus 990 about 4 months back for my boys and I shoot tin cans, 2 liter jugs of water and steel spinners in the backyard :) Now if the longest winter in the history of mankind would just finally come to a close, we might get to shoot it a little bit...

    Taurus

Looking at their website, you are correct; I can assume Taurus paid for my shipping due to the fact it was indeed a new and recent purchase. Not to stray too far off the OP's topic, but me and my boys (9 and 11) really do enjoying shooting that Taurus 990 22lr.

    Taurus

I purchased it this past November and called them about the issue probably within 4-5 weeks. I know it was shipped to them at the height of the Xmas mailing season. They didn't ask any questions that I recall (when or where it was purchased even though I readily had all of that information...

    Taurus

I thought Taurus always paid for shipping both ways in addition to their lifetime warranties? I have an SS 990 22lr revolver for plinking whose cylinder would always cease up at the first spent casing. I called Taurus and they emailed a prepaid Fed Ex label and fixed the issue free of charge...

    Rumor Has It

I'm not a bean counter but I sincerely doubt a gun that is perceived as both inexpensive to manufacture and sells a fair amount, would be discontinued. From my layman's perspective, it's a market share ("budget" guns from reputable, world-class manufacturers) that's sizeable and that S&W seems...
