    Need help with Manufacturing Date

Thank you Very much appreciate your quick response. It's from a cousin on the East Coast who had it during times of civil unrest. She also kept it in her shop. Apparently, it always frightened her to have it around. It has found a good home in a state where it will have the opportunity for...

    Need help with Manufacturing Date

Hi, I was just gifted a pinned and recessed, 4" S&W Model 19-4. Original box, Target Grips, screwdriver & S&W marked holster. It is in VG+ condition (I know; what a gift). Knowing the date of manufacture will be very helpful. Serial number is 73K9***. Can anyone be of help? Thanks in advance.

Remington .455 Swaged Lead 250 Grain Bullets

Webley Mark VI My Webley has been ground to accept .45acp with moon clips. I have been shooting lead bullets sized to .451. Accuracy is OK, but not astounding. Would the .455 bullets work with my Webley when loaded in .45acp cases? Thanks!

A few additional photos This should provide a good sampling of the revolver. The grips are 'Uncle Mike's" and not Hogue.

    S&W Model 16-4 .32 H&R Magnum

Thank you! Agree, however I have huge problems with Gunbroker. For some reason, it will not allow me to search "S&W Model 16-4" (or any variants of same). I am frustrated with that site.

    S&W Model 16-4 .32 H&R Magnum question

I have a Model 16-4 with a 4" barrel. I purchased it many years ago. The gun is absolutely beautiful, however the previous owner removed the original grips and replaced them with rubber Hogue grips. It sits perfectly in my hand. While an excellent shooter, it is time for me to sell it to...

    Model 57 date?

I am the second owner. I seem to recall that the original owner told me that he ordered it that way. Have no idea if this is true or if S&W did special orders like this. It is so pretty that I left it that way. The trigger is so smooth that I was sure it had been worked on by a professional...

    Model 57 date?

***. . . Thanks for the date. I appreciate it very much! Unfortunately, no I do not have the original box. I purchased from the original owner many years ago. He had little interest in keeping the box. Regardless, I could not resist buying the gun.

3913 vs Commander 1911- Size comparison

1911 v 3913 Have a shoot both. The 3913 is appreciably shorter, smaller and thinner. The grip is shorter, also. I would handle it to determine if it will be a problem for you. Mine has two magazines; one that sits flush to the magazine well and one that protrudes and allows for a better pinkie...

    Winchester Small Pistol Primers

Interesting Winchester 'Problem' Not really a problem, however, recently one box of 100 in a 5,000 case was empty. Completely empty. First and only time this has happened with any brand. Sent them an email with the codes information and have received no acknowledgement. Not looking for...

    Reloading the Shield

It needs to handle lead well. . . Soda cans? That's a new one on me. I love innovative people. Wow! I already load for multiple calibers including 9mm. My current 9's eat both lead and jacketed very well, without gas checks. I am told that some do not. Recently, I have been loading coated...

    Reloading the Shield

I realize that the factory says NO, but ammo is too expensive not to reload. My question is, has anyone reloaded lead or lead coated bullets successfully with the Shield 9mm? Thanks for your input!

Thnking about a Shield. Need advice.

With the rebates comes serious thought about purchasing a Shield. Although I am a .45 kind of guy, I've been reading about too many problem with them - so I dropped the .45 from consideration. I am considering the 9mm Shield. I need some advice to help make a decision from those who actually...
