Great looking guns guys. I decided to sand the scratches and pitting out of the 686 last night. After I polished out the sand scratches the stainless is looking more like chrome than stainless. I'll post some more pics when its all done.

What kind of oil do you guys recommend for sanding with 2000 grit paper?

Thanks for the tip. However, the haze is actually tiny fine scrtches from being in a holster over the years. I don, t think they will rub out.

I am getting ready to take out my 686 plus out to the range tomorrow and I bought a box of Buffalo Bore 125g 357 mag rounds and it's rated at 1700 fps out a six inch barrel at 802 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle. This is pretty much the hottest factory 357 mag round you can get these days...

Perfectly understandable. But this trigger job was done very VERY well. It's definitely a hair trigger, but there's no slip off and the timing is right on where it should be. It's a solid gun with a very nice single action pull.

I'm almost certain that this won't be my last. The next revolver on my list is a 629 classic :O
