NRA has lost sight of Precision Pistol

I didn't read through every single posting here, but can definitely relate to your passion and opinion. I'm not usually a quitter, but gave up High Power Service Rifle when confronted with the realization my open sights would have to compete against scopes/optics. Don't understand why they...

$2 per round for 300 savage??

Just for the heck of it I visited the "new" Remington ammo website to see if they're still making some of my favorites...YIKES! If the MSRP prices are indicative of what we'll be seeing in the "real world," (i.e. Walmart, etc.) folks are in for some real PERMANENT sticker shock! Some calibers...

Model 10-6 at Local Pawn Shop

Yes, those were very common "old school" practices. I can understand marking unserialized items like tools, but...

Model 10-6 at Local Pawn Shop

The number on my revolver matches the one on my bill of sale exactly!

Model 10-6 at Local Pawn Shop

Never could understand the "logic" of defacing any arm with my name or SS #. Mine already came identified from the manufacturer with a unique number. Good enough for me!

I have several of their pocket holsters. Not cheap, but worth every penny invested.

    Shortages

We ordered a new refrigerator from a big appliance retailer in February. Said they had 43 on backorder & should see ours in April. Called the other day & they told me to check back mid May-ish.

    I guess I haven't been paying attention!

It's truly a sad state of affairs...is virtually ANYTHING still made in U.S.A.?

At least 8 dead in shooting at Indianapolis FedEx facility

Unfortunately, where I am the rifle retriever would be considered a villain. My point was/is once a person jumps through all the governmental hoops in order to legally exercise their God-given Right they shouldn't be put on notice they will be considered a criminal for where they carry it...

At least 8 dead in shooting at Indianapolis FedEx facility

Again, only to an extent. Shirts & shoes are not Constitutionally protected individual freedoms that have been purchased with other peoples' sacrifices. And the government, (in a myriad of statutes, codes, regulations, etc.) from the federal to local level, can and does dictate what I can...

At least 8 dead in shooting at Indianapolis FedEx facility

Did I miss something? I just re-read all the previous posts and didn't notice anything related to that.

At least 8 dead in shooting at Indianapolis FedEx facility

I nearly inadvertently spit my coffee on the TV this morning! Why should a law-abiding person EVER have to "retrieve" a legal firearm from their vehicle? In particular, with (extremely) LIMITED exceptions, how can a person with a LTC be prevented from carrying their personal property in areas...

    Mod 60

Thanks for the clarification. I was recently interested in a no dash with an alpha-numeric sernr which the 4th Ed. placed in the '86/'87 timeframe. Will follow-up on it if the price is right.

    Mod 60

To help me get a better understanding of this, would it be normal or unusual to encounter a 60 no dash produced circa 1986/'87? TIA

    Wet tumbling(Not me)

I'm not embarrassed to admit that during my foray into the then-unknown (to me) world of wet tumbling I quickly learned never to completely prep rifle cases then just throw them (w/body & neck lube) into the wet tumbler hoping they would magically appear shiny as new. What a nasty, greasy...

    Vintage Guns Drying Up??

My observation virtually mirrors yours. Several months back my visits to Walmart noted plenty of value-packs of target loads. Later visits found 28 ga. only. Past few months NO ammo; empty selves at several different stores (as of yesterday). Haven't seen any source for skeet loads...
