I went in to Micro Center last week and not only did they not have any ammo, primers or powder but they were also out of graphics cards and said the next batch wouldn't arrive for a week.
What's up with that? Bitcoin mining?

Chip shortage. It's hitting computer builders and car makers. Ford suspended production on one model because they were out of chips a while back.

We ordered a new refrigerator from a big appliance retailer in February. Said they had 43 on backorder & should see ours in April. Called the other day & they told me to check back mid May-ish.

Canned cat food. Had to order in online last time.
Go figure.

My chemical supplier told me they are3 having a very hard time accessing small plastic bottles and have been having problems for a while now.
Mrs. Chukar works for a company that is a support industry for chip manufacturers. She tells me all their technology customers are ramped up hard on production.

There may be a common thread of sorts here....
Consider where many of the above mentioned 'short' items originate.
